Good morning all, hope that you have had a great week! Mine has been a mixture of running around, working in the yard etc. I swear I used to love those Cosmo's but now I am beginning to hate them. They are coming up everywhere, have no idea how they got there, guess the birds or the wind but they are coming up in my rose garden as well as the potted plants that I have and they are no where near where I actually had them and it isn't just two or three, I swear they are coming up in groups of hundreds.
Dad continues to have his good days and bad but the constant thing with him is that one medication...it is a battle for Lana just about everyday. She tries very hard to keep him from driving and takes him to the grocery store when he needs. Last week we went to the Olive Garden for dinner, which he really enjoyed. I have been fortunate in the past to be able to get a parking spot right in the front but this time I think just about everyone in Melbourne went there to eat and I had to park about a block away. But he was good he let me walk him in and get him seated then I went and parked and we did the same when we left. That really bothers him that he is not stable to walk very far by himself. Lord forbid if he falls when I am walking him we most likely will both go down. While I am gone instead of calling him I am going to skype him every night at 7, that way I can see just how he is doing and he will be able to see the change of scenery where I am.
On Monday evening I had a Planning & Zoning meeting in Viera. It was quite and interesting meeting. We had several zoning items for Merritt Island, one involved a piece of property that sits by a small pond and they were asking for heavy zoning for the property. Let me just say it is across from a church and a school and the street will all become commercial soon I am sure, but he is selling this property to a Doctor who wants to put his office there. He could have gotten away with a much less intensive zoning but no he wanted the heaviest. I had no support from the board so it passed. The other interesting zoning item was a company called Miami Corp. They own 59,000-acre boarding Brevard and Volusia counties as a network of private conservation land, housing, “workplace districts” and other development. A little over 11,000 acres are in Brevard County and of those 11,000 acres a little over 9,000 will be given to conservation. Really sounded it good to me, the more that we can conserve the better. Of course there were people there wanting more but it passed as it was offered.
On Thursday I went and ordered my new car. Just in case you wonder how that was decided is...Bill decides when I need a new car, I have a certain length of time to go pick it out, if I don't he gets it for me. So he had decided this it was time. Don't get me wrong I love my red caddy but since the gold one I had before I have wanted another. I was telling Diana my woo's in the fact the dealer did not have a gold one so she asked a friend of her's at the dealer if they could get me one and of course he said sure...So today I will get my gold mist DTS this morning. Really excited about it.
Gosh, two of my sisters are having a great time, Judy has poison ivy and Helen has the shingles...keep kind thoughts for them I know they are miserable.
Yesterday was Baxley Manor day and each month the donations are shrinking. Sad about that but we are still ahead of the game so that is good news.
We do have birthday's this week, remember today is Erica's 26th birthday, hope it is a great day for you! Then to very dear friends will celebrate on the 25th, want to wish both J'mee and Elaine a very happy day! Since I am not sure there will be a Just Chatting next week, want to wish my son a very happy birthday on the 26th. The best to you my love!
Got a nice note from cousin Gloria I told you all that they have moved to Maine. Here they are in front of the sign for Don's new church.

She also told me her daughter got married Sept 5th in PA. Don't have any of the wedding pictures as yet but do have this one of the rehearsal.

I bet she was a beautiful bride! Congratulations Thanks for the invite to stop at you home Gloria, we will be a little rushed going up (Helen is leaving for NM) so, we may stop on the way back. Will send you a note and let you know when we are coming.
Well Diana and I are off to NJ and all points northeast, we are really looking forward to it especially the cooler weather and seeing the beautiful leaves. I am taking my laptop with me but can't guarantee I will be sending out Just Chatting but I will catch you up on everything when I return.
Hope all is well with all of you and continues to be so while I am gone. Take good care of you!
Lots of Love,
