August 9, 2009

Good morning all, hope that you have had a great week.  Got to say there is really not much going on here, everything is the same old, same old.

Got to set the record straight, the birthday party donation was not for the soccer  league but to set up a scholarship in memory of a soccer player that died very young.  Not sure how much he collected but it was a great idea.  We had a great time, lots of people attended and everyone agreed that our dentist, friend colleague was a wonderful man.  Wish there were more people like him.

Want to wish Dean a very happy birthday on the 24th, gosh time just flies it seems like yesterday he was showing me how he was going shave when he grew up.  Then on the very same day my dear friend Karen's husband Mike will hit the ripe old age of.....no I won't say but it is still young to me.  Wishing you both a very Happy Birthday!!  Then on the 26th cousin Gloria and husband Don will celebrate their 37th anniversary, the very best to you both, hope it is a wonderful day.

About the only real interesting thing that I have done this week is spray on my golf cart the vines that I could reach.  It is awful they are coming from everywhere and I doubt that this spray will kill them.  They should really punish the person that bought them into this country.  They are slowly killing everything.

Decided to take a quart bottle of cold water over to my horse, she just loves it.  She drinks it out of my hand, but I am a little worried about it Bill says it could give her colic.

There is mildew stains on the leather on the golf cart, does anyone have a suggestion to what to use to get it off?
Gave Lana some pineapple plants a couple of years ago and she finally got one that she could eat.   She said it was the best she had ever had and she shared it with Joyce and Dad.

Cisco has become quite attached to Joyce, he especially loves it when she goes out in the front yard.  He loves to check his mail boxes (so Dad says) and checks every tree out there.  For a fourteen year old he does very well here he is checking behind the shrubs, don't think there are mail boxes there

Yesterday, I went down and picked up Joyce, she returned her car and off we went to Nancy's to get beautiful.  Afterward we met Diana at the mall and went to the movies.  We seen Post Grad, it was really a funny movie and I recommend it.  Carol Burnett  was in it so you know it has to be good.  We had dinner at TGIF Friday's and had a great time talking about everyone.

Please keep my sisters and I in your prayers as we go through this difficult time with Dad.  It is so hard when we want the very best for him and he gets upset because we are telling him what to do.  Joyce and Lana have done a great job this week working together and we will all have to continue to do that.  It will be especially hard on Lana but we stand one for all.

Please take good care of yourself and let me hear from you!

Lots of Love
