Well Good Morning all, hope that this has been and uneventful week for you. Nothing to earth shaking... Got to say this has been a quiet week for me, no meetings just yard work. My roses are really looking fine. I have a dozen or so long stem roses on my dining room table and they look great. So proud of them but have to keep after the bugs etc. Each week I take roses to Nancy for her station. She just loves them and gets lots of compliment about them.
Dad and I had a nice visit on Saturday and then we went to Outback for dinner. He says he is feeling fine, but confessed to Lana that he has fallen twice this week and is concerned about going out to eat because he might fall. Of course he never mentioned that to me. Diana, Dan and Stacey went down on Sunday and took him to Applebee's for dinner. They also bought Dan's sister's TV, it is much bigger than the one Dad has. They turned it on and it worked so they never thought anything more about it. Well when Dad went to use it, it wouldn't change channels, couldn't turn it up nothing. He was some discussed, nice TV but it wouldn't work. Lana came to the rescue, it seems it needed to be reprogrammed and after that it was fine.
As I mentioned last week Monday was Lana's birthday.

took her & Shari out to dinner to celebrate both their birthday's.
Here she is in her new birthday hat doesn't she look lovely. Sister Joyce's is helping to celebrate Calais, Me Bi-Centennial here is a web site that you can check it out even see the parade.

Been giving the horse more treats this week and have even added sugar cubes, she really seems to like them. I feel so sorry for her, I get up with the mosquito's sometimes but this poor horse has, I guess they are called horse flies, never have seen them so big, they are huge and they just won't leave her alone. I don't know anything about horse and what I know I have learned from friends I am told there is some kind of mixture they can put on the horse to avoid that. Wish you could give them something in food that would make them go away. Big old flies almost look like bee's only bigger.
When I got out of church last Sunday I felt like my family was one of the luckiest there is around. This family that goes to our church over the years have adopted I believe eight children, they are great people and great parents. Their oldest son is 34 and mental retarded, don't really and has just been diagnosed with phase 4 lymphoma, it has been a battle for them just to make the Doctor's understand that he can't make his own decisions.
They finally have and he has been transferred to Moffet Center in Jacksonville, and has already started treatment. In the mean time the husband's Mom came and had a stroke. She was put on life support, and at that time they were waiting for his brother to make the decision to remove her or not. She has since passed away. Then a sister-in-law came to help and passed out in the hospital cafeteria and has since had a pace maker put in. A lady at chruch was organizing people to take them their evening meal and of course I signed up. I will always be so grateful for them bringing our food to us when I was so sick. I guess that is the only way that you learn how important it is to help when people are down. I have added this family to my prayer list, sorry I don't know all their names but God does.
Talking about the prayer list if you have asked me to add someone and now they are fine, please let me know so I can remove their names.
Cocoa completed her final lazar treatment yesterday. The Vet wanted her to have more but she seems like she is doing much better, and besides which it is not cheap. Hopefully this will do it for her.
Speaking of taking Cocoa to the Vet, on the way I met about 15 school buses, I guess they were getting familiar with their route. Can you believe school starts here on Monday?
Tomorrow is Kyle and Erica's first wedding anniversary, hope you have a wonderful day! Then on Wednesday my dear Geoffrey (Jeff) will celebrate his birthday. So sorry you will be alone, but we would love to have you here in Fl. Hope you have a pleasant day!
We are all excited Joyce comes on Monday, really looking forward to her visit. I am but I know Dad is really excited about it. He loves to have someone with him.
Got to tell you about the dumb thing I did, should make you laugh in the long run....Bill has been feeling a little under the weather and asked me to get him some coke. So on my way to my hair appointment I stopped at Publix and got him a 12 pk. When I got home and went to take it out of the trunk...guess what? It was diet Coke! So when I went back to pick up the BBQ Chicken for the Oliver's I exchanged it for regular coke. I positioned it so it would help keep the food in the trunk from sliding. When I was unloading the food I got lots of help and this cute little blonde girl about 8 or so was so excited about the coke...her Daddy would love that, I couldn't say anything...So I stopped at the 7-11 on the way home and picked up another 12 pack. Get this...I paid $4.99 for it at the grocery store and at the quick stop it cost $3.69....so you do a good deed and you get rewarded
Hope you have a great week, I am certainly looking forward to mine. Besides Joyce coming tomorrow I am going with my old friends from work to a restaurant that is owned by one of the winner of Hell's kitchen. Hate that name but I hear they have great food.
Lots of Love to all
