Good Morning all hope that you have had a good week! Weeds are growing in my yard with great flurry and I can't seem to get a head of them. My flowers still look pretty well but this is the time of year (because of the extreme heat) that I start losing them. While I was gone, Dawn came out to visit her Dad and she was supposed to water my plants but Bill convinced her she didn't need to do it with all the rain that we had gotten. But when I got home on Thursday evening some of them were already like rocks because they had not been watered.
Last Saturday Dad really surprised me...he always says he really doesn't care where we go to eat because he just don't eat much but to my surprise he said he wanted to go to Red Lobster! We had a great meal and he ate well.
Lana is home and Dad has started back to his many Dr. appointments. He went to the gastronomist this week and they said his liver was fine. But the big problem is why is his ammonia level so high. On the other hand he seems to be doing much better and I am so happy that Judy is going to be with him this week. Lana takes him to all his appointments and she is really hoping that she can catch everything he needs to do so that he will not be driving. So Judy will take over much of that this week.
When I went over to fix the drinks at church last Sunday for the 2nd week in a row the coffee was not ready to be plug in. That means I have to carry the water to fill a big coffee pot. I was really upset about it, and one coffee pot can never be plugged in the strip next to it. Yes I am complaining but come to find out the Priest is making the coffee and he has been to boy scout camp for 10 days and that is why the coffee was not make. From time to time I wrestle with the idea of retiring from that job because I have done it for over 25 years but you know someone else won't think it is important as I do. Or maybe it isn't as important as I think it is....I don't know.
Monday, Nancy was here bright and early to take me to the airport in Orlando to catch my 8' am flight. Could not get over how many people were checking in for the same early flight. But I paid $89 for my flight and the next flight at 10 something was $40 more so I guess that is why. Got to NJ and they were having beautiful weather and no where as hot as it is here, truly enjoyed my two day visit there.
My dear friend Karen got some bad news last week. She is the one that has the beautiful horse and loves to ride him. Her back had been given her lots of pain lately, went to the Dr. and had a MRI. It turned out that she has two slipped disk bulging on both ends and that means she will have to give up riding. Hopefully, not for long but it certainly doesn't sound good. Please keep her in your prayers in this painful time for her.
Also my good friend Bet was in Alaska on a cruse with her husband last week and one of the days that the temp was reading 104 she called to tell me it was 60 there! Oh how I envied her. But she is back home after a great trip I hope and now suffering with the rest of us.
Krista seems to be doing well in her new home, but still comes home to pick out the nuts from Dan's butternut ice cream Stacey & Paul spent several days in Boston with Kyle & Erica. They went to a Atlanta Braves game while they were there and the Braves won, makes her trip worth while. Todd and friends went on a camping trip in Gainesville last weekend and they had a great time. He took everything but the kitchen sink with him but the good news is he got back home safely.
Judy, Lilly and I left for Fl on Wednesday about 9:30 am. It was a nice trip. We went through the Shenandoah Valley and it was beautiful. Here are some pictures to prove it.

Thought that I was going to be nervous riding because I am not a good rider but she is a fine driver and it was a fun trip. Lilly really is not fond of riding in the car but she was very good. She has a better car seat than some children do. We arrived home about 7:30 or so Thursday evening. Now we rest (she won't she will be busy) and get ready for the trip back.
Next week promises to be a busy week for me also. Have P&Z on Monday and then I work several days getting ready for launch on Sat. the 11th at 7:39 pm.
Pat is off to Michigan with David this weekend to help celebrate David Mom's 70th birthday. Hope they have a great time.
Well I guess that most of you will be celebrating this special day! Independence Day, I am sure there will be lots of fire works everywhere. Don't think there is anything special that we are doing today, except I am going early to Dads so I can pick up my new battery operated pruning chain saw at Northern Industrial in Melbourne. It only weights 9 lbs and I am hoping I can cut down some pepper trees with it.
You all have a wonderful day and be careful! Waiting to hear from some of you would like to know how things are going with your family and you.
Lots of Love
