Good morning all, hope you have had a pleasant week. Got some work done in the yard, lots of weeds with this rain, laid more chips but didn't get enough. But it is a job that goes on and on. Something has gotten at one of my rose bushes and it looks awful. It is wilting and the leaves are turning yellow. Hope to stop at the nursery on the way to Dad's to see if they can tell me what it is. Judy had told me about the nursery where she lives that give away plants on Saturday morning and I have since learned this nursery does the same. Hopefully they have something that I can save
Went to Dad's last Saturday and he wasn't too happy when I first got there but changed the subject and all went well. I was sure that he wouldn't go out to dinner but he surprised me and we enjoyed a meal at the Olive Garden. As I mentioned before he has been depressed and feels useless, does a lot of sleeping and sometimes he is confused. Lana took him to the Dr. on Tuesday and he had blood work. The blood work showed his ammonia level in his blood was double what it should be, which can cause all the things I just mentioned that is happening to him. He is on medication and hopefully that will help him, please keep him in your thoughts and prayers. Lana is leaving for Rochester on Wednesday for a much needed vacation but I am concerned about him being alone. Right now I have it set up where both my daughters and I will take turns going down and staying with him....will have to see how he progress to see if he needs someone with him all the time. Lana tells me to help get his ammonia level down we should cut down on his preteen. This is hard to do on a meat and potato man...any suggestions?
Got some sad news on Monday brother-in-law Greg Dad passed away. His funeral is today. Now all the parents of my sisters husband families have passed on.
Also on Tuesday got a note from the people at work that this lady I work for during launch and landing husband passed away. She talked to him about 2 in the afternoon and all was fine, when she went home at 5 she found he had passed on. Sad really sad. She is more or less in charge of all the activities during launch at the press site so they are really having to scurry around to get everything done. Launch is next Saturday morning at 7:19 am, hopefully I will be able to work it but it will all depend on how Dad is doing.
Today is the final horse race, the Belmont, Dad and I won't miss it. Regardless what time it says in the paper I am betting on 6:20.

Want to wish a very happy belated Birthday to nephew Peter gosh time flies hope it was the best. Then my dear Sister Joyce will celebrate on Wednesday, I might as well say she will be 21 alsohope it is the best one yet! Then on the 11th Helen's granddaughter Jody will celebrate her birthday and it is an important one she will really be 21! Best of Birthday's Jody!
Also got pictures of the "Great Ft. Fairfield Golf Tourney" from Blair.I can tell you that he is the first one in the picture left to right and the last one is my high school buddy husband Larry. The greens look great don't they but I am wondering if they are in the US or Canada wonder if they had to show their passport when they crossed over?
Brother-in-law David Todd has been sharing with me some of the visitor's they have in their back yard which are squirrel and turkey's...would love to share the pictures with you but for some reason they won't let me copy them.
Had to take Cocoa to the vet this week, she has been limping. No sore spots just tender at her right from leg joint. The Dr. said she could have pulled a mussel or it could be from an old injury.
I am getting so sick of the gun fire (supposedly target shooting) not far from me. Got to admit I would call the law on them in a minute but I am scared what will happen if I do. Not sure how to handle it. Called the Commissioner's office and nothing has been done. Last evening it went on for almost two hours and it isn't just regular guns, they have all kinds.
Well hope you all have a wonderful week, lots of things scheduled on my docket but not sure how many of the things I can attend.
Lots of Love
