May 30, 2009

Good morning all, what a week this has been!  Hope all has gone well with you.  I keep pulling weeds everyday, they seem to be doing much better than my flowers but they aren't doing bad!

Last Saturday when I went to visit Dad, he did not feel like going out.  He said he felt fine, just didn't feel like going out.  I have since learned he did not go to the grocery store when he usually does because he just didn't feel like going.  Helen went and got the stuff he needed, he said she did a pretty good job but didn't get the right oj

On Sunday Pat & Dave came over and picked up Dawn and I for a day at Epcot to see the flowers. It was great having Dawn with us and we all enjoyed the day...here is a picture of Pat & Dawn believe me they are hard to come by.  We started off with breakfast in Orlando and then spent the day at Epcot.  We had a very nice late lunch in France and then we were on our way home.  It is amazing what they can do with the flowers...here is one of the topiary.

We watched a film on how they do them, in fact how they do all the plants.  They do not plant them....they are still in pots and David indicated that after it is over they throw them away....good Lord would like to know when they do that....I am sure I could save some of them

It looks like nephew Rand and his son Jacob went to see the Red Sox play.  Can't get over how much Jake is growing.

Forgot to mention last week at my Local Planning Agency meeting we discussed for over an hour if a gas station was a drive through...what do you think?  We more or less decided it wasn't but of course it was more involved than that...

Had a little family accident at Diana's this week.  Krista accidentally hit Stacey's car when she was turning into the drive way.  OUCH!  It was a major deal at that house....got and estimate and you can tell there was a lot of damage...to fix it cost $250.

Went and got Helen on Tuesday and she turned her car in.  Brought her back up here and she got her hair done with Nancy.  We had a nice visit and I took her on Wednesday morning to the airport.  It was a long day for her, she left here at 10:19  flew into Boston, took a bus to Augusta and then drove home.  She got there at 8:30 pm.  I bet she was beat when she got home, but it was great having her.

Mentioned last week about my new bird feeder, by gosh it works the only thing is the crows has mastered it but after all they are a bird  If you want to see what they look like check this out http://www.nextag.com/squirrel-be-gone/stores-html  I got mine at Home Depot and paid $20 for it so if you are interested I know they also carry them at Wal-Mart.

We continue to get rain everyday but not like a couple of weeks ago, but it is great as warm as it is here we can use it.  Usually we get it in the late afternoon, my roses are doing great but keep getting those yellow spots on the leaves I sprayed them yesterday morning after I cut a bunch to take to Nancy in the shop.

Check out the quote this morning, Diana seen it on a flashing sign and it made her day so I am passing it on to you

As I mentioned last week brother-in-law Greg celebrated his Birthday on the 26 th while in Porta Rico...sometimes it is very hard to decide what to get someone and this is what his sister got him a t-shirt with a very young picture of him...here he is with his daughter Jess in his new shirt...looks happy doesn't he

Well folks there really isn't a lot to say but I have done my best scattered with a few good pictures...hope you enjoyed them.  Have a great week and take good care of you!

Lots of Love
