Good morning all I hope that you have had a great week, mine has been a little confusing but I keep jugging away. Got very little work done in my yard this week but did get some more of the watering bulbs. It proved to me that I wasn't watering my plants enough. So I fill them up and every third day I water them. With this heat I am bound to start losing some of them because we do have watering restrictions.
Dad and I had a nice visit on Saturday and we had dinner at the Olive Garden. We called Uncle Gib while I was there and he seems to be doing ok. I believe I mentioned last week that Cisco had a Vet visit and all went well! Poor Cisco has allergies and has to be on med's all the time. That Diana is a trooper she has seen that between her and nephew Peter that Cisco gets his medicated bath every other day. Don't know how long that will go on but I hope not much longer for Diana sake and I know that Cisco won't miss it.
On Monday I went into work at the Press Site and what crazy calls I got from the Public, you would not believe it, one was a man who wanted to know who killed JFK another was a woman in Palm Bay wanted to make sure NASA had all the information they needed on aid...yep you got it right and guess where she said they could get the info...from out local health office It was crazy I am telling you but I am not complaining because it was busy and time flew by. Then in the afternoon I went to my other job (had to say that cause Dad teases me about my non-paying jobs ) as a member of the Local Planning Agency.
Forgot to mention last week that my granddaughter Stacey was having a birthday on the 18th. Just think it has been 26 years since the first woman astronaut went into space....Sally Ride. Stacey & Paul are visiting Kyle and Erica in Boston this week. They are supposed to go see the Braves play the Red Sox....I just hope she doesn't yell to much I understand some of those Red Sox fans are very friendly
Went into work on Tuesday but it wasn't as hectic as it had been on Monday, they had gotten more volunteer. On Sunday a lady at church gave me a bunch and I mean a bunch of clothes for Baxley, never turn anything down for them. Yesterday was our delivery date but in the mean time my car was loaded with these clothes. Every time I went though the gate I just knew they were going to stop me...when I went through on Tuesday I made up my mind they would have to go to Baxley when I got off work but I sure didn't want to get stop at 1 am when I went into to work. So that is what I did. As you all know the launch was scrubbed but not before I made my journey out there with my crock pot full of BBQ meatballs. I was lucky they all got eaten, I was so afraid they wouldn't and I would have to throw them out. Next launch date is July 11th. I felt so bad for Bet, her brother was here from Ok and didn't get to see it. But that has happened to many of us hasn't it. Better to have them safe.
I believe the only special occasion this week is celebrating Jess & Casey 4th anniversary on the 25th. Hope you both have the very best day!
Late Tuesday afternoon Bill informed me that he was completely out of his medication so I called VA and asked them about it, some had been mail that he has never received they told me I could pick up a ten day supply at Viera pharmacy. It was too late to go then so I was off early on Wednesday to pick them up and go thru the whole process again with the VA. I have just got to keep a better eye on Bill's med's.
On the way home I got this bright idea to pick up a converter box for the TV in the dinning room. It is the only TV that we have that is not connected to the cable. I had asked Pat & Dave to come over on Sunday and set it up but when I got home I thought about it for awhile and decided to do it myself. Bill likes to watch the news while he eats dinner and with no TV he was getting a little antzy. Well it didn't take me long to figure out that the TV not only needed a new converter box but a new antenna as well HD. Believe me before the day was through I was completely flustered...had to go get a new antenna and when it was all done and installed I was getting two channels............almost $100 I spent for two channels But as the week went on I kept fooling with it and now I am up to four. But the antenna is sticking straight out into the room for the best reception......oh well it was a good idea...but thankfully Pat seen that I had not mastered it and has volunteered to come over and see if he can make it better. There has got to be a better way that antenna sticking right out to the table will never do.
Then on Thursday Bill had a pre-op visit in Orlando for his surgery to remove the skin cancer from his cheek and ear. After spending over an hour there it was decided that they could not do the surgery because of his cardioids arteries surgery that he was supposed to have and refused to do it because they want him to go to Tampa. He will not go to the VA in Tampa so you talk about flustered!
Things have been going pretty smoothly with Dad. The therapist has come this week three times and even had him take a walk up the sidewalk. The nurse has been there twice to take blood. Lana will be home on Sunday hope she has had a great time, I know she has enjoyed the weather.
Tomorrow is Father's Day hope all you Dad's have a great one, my Dad is very special to me and I am so pleased that I have had him this long.
Like it or not, you are watching my great niece Charlie grow up. Charlie lives in Texas and will be celebrating her 2nd birthday soon.

Yesterday was Baxley day and all went well. The ladies who do the shopping are class one shoppers...should give us all lessons. One of the things they were able to purchase was a case of toilet paper for $20, that is great, it is savings like that make it possible to buy other things they need. They watch all sales and are there early in the morning to make the deal! Thanks so much Lori and Jan for a job well done!
Judy is going to make her trip south starting on the 1st or 2nd of July. She doesn't like taking Lilly on the plane so she is going to drive. I didn't like the idea of her driving alone so I am going to fly to NJ on the 29th and drive back with her, then do like wise on her trip back.
My friend Bet and husband Don left Thursday for the Alaskan cruise. while they are there, they will visit their daughter. Always wanted to go on the cruise.
Hope you have a wonderful week and keep those great pictures coming! Want to share our family
Lots of Love
