Good morning all, hope that you have had a great week! Got to say we certainly were blessed with lots of rain this week, and we certainly needed it. We have the deep ditches along the roads and they were empty everything was suffering from lack of rain but after almost a month we got some much needed rain. In fact those ditches are full now my weeds are doing great!
Last Saturday I picked up spaghetti for dinner so we didn't have to be rushing around and miss the big race. As always everything was pointing to the race being early 6 I believe is what the paper indicated but I called it from the beginning 6:20 and two minutes later it was over The horses are beautiful and always enjoy seeing them but am always concerned that one will get hurt. Mine that Bird the winner of the Kentucky derby came in 2nd. Now we have one more, I think it is June 2nd.
Last week I mentioned that sister Helen bought me fresh fiddlehead's from Maine. Now I know that some of you have never heard of them but it certainly is one of the favorites in the spring. This is what they look like.
My cousin Gloria was lucky enough to get fresh ones in her grocery store in NY. A Missionary friend of theirs visited and for breakfast he made this. In case you are wondering it is a fiddle head omelet...no I had never heard of it either but I bet it was good!
On Sunday Helen drove up and we went to lunch afterwards heading to Orlando to hear Pat in The Orlando Chorale. They presented Gregory Rutter Requiem. What beautiful voices, it was classical music and Pat loves that kind of music....me it was very nice but to tell you the truth I did not know when the finished one song and started another.

Well while Joyce was off watching Liz's house and keeping the teen age boys company brother-in-law Jeff added a deck to their house...what a great job.
This was sent to me by my brother-in-law David sent me this....

Bet found a new bird feeder it is called squirrel begone! She says it works so I had to try it....so far no squirrels and the bigger birds (crows & black birds) don't seem to like it either. But I did see the bird feeder swinging yesterday morning so the racoon's gave up it. But I think I have problems with animals getting into my bird feeder...My brother-in-law David who lives in MA had a visitor to his bird feeder also....think I will take the racoon's.
Blair sent me some great pictures but I couldn't figure out how to copy them and besides that most of the people I didn't know but wanted to share some of cousin Wayne family. Hopefully we will try again for next time.
Sister Judy & husband Greg and both their children & spouce's are off to Porto Rico on Sunday for a week. This is like the third time for Greg & Judy and they always have a great time. On Monday, Greg will celebrate his "21" birthday, hope it is nice one Happy Birthday Greg!
The Shuttle was suppose to land yesterday but this liquid gold that we are having (rain) delayed the landing until today. It doesn't look hopeful for today but Bet and I are going in at 7am but I am betting it will go into Edwards where the sun is shining.
Went to get my hair done after we did Baxley and poor Nancy was so sick. It hit her all of a sudden both ways. That happen to Cocoa's groomer on Tuesday, just hope Nanc can bounce back as soon as she did.
Tomorrow Pat is taking Dawn and I to Epcot to see the flowers. I just hope we will be able to go because it is calling for rain then also.
Please take good care of you and yours! Have a great memorial day and remember the reason for the holiday! I want to thank everyone who sent me pictures, they were great!
Lots of Love
