Good morning all, hope that you have had a nice week! Not to much going on here thankfully got some work done in the yard and trying to keep things watered as well as weeding. Although it really hasn't been hot, with our breeze that we have everything is quite dry.
Saturday I went to see Dan in the hospital and he was doing well. They moved him out of ICU right after my visit. See I do cheer up some people All went very well for him and he was released on Monday. Now is the hard part doing what you are supposed to be doing.
Peter mowed Dad's yard and it looked very well done. He and William have really helped Dad by doing that. Dad kind of sets a date that it has to be done and if they don't come he says he is going to do it. So far it has always been done so we don't have him falling down or hurting himself doing that.
He and I went to Applebee's on Saturday and it looks like we will be returning tonight because it is time for the Kentucky Derby and he loves to watch that race. We have learned over the years that it is never the time they say it is and it doesn't take long for it to be over but when it is we know just about everything there is to know about each horse.
On Sunday we celebrated Diana's birthday, a couple people that work with her came over and it really tickled me...guess what they said Todd looks like me Oh well it made me feel good anyway.
I have told you about the sad news about my nephew losing his sight but some good news from him....a friend of theirs treated them (Jeri & Dean) to a trip to Hawaii and they had a wonderful time...here is a picture to prove it Handsome couple aren't they!
Promised you a picture of the great job that Bet did on my angel....
Look at all the detail she did...mine are sprayed all one color and still not as good a job as she did on this one. It is my rose angel!
Dan got out of the hospital on Monday and is doing quite well, because of his situation the Dr has agreed for him to return to work on Monday. No lifting but of course there will be stress but there is stress at home, can't get away from it.
I know you are just going to love this interesting bit of information...was watching the history channel the other night...did you know the first tooth brushes were made in China? And you will love this one...the first mouth wash was fresh urine....just had to tell you
Went into work on Thursday for a couple of hours and picked up my new badge...this one is for more than one year. Had a little trouble it would recognize my finger print...but after rebooting etc...it finally took it. About the only interesting thing I can tell you that I learned at the Press site is there will be several 40th anniversaries this year, one being the anniversary of landing on the moon...July 20th, 1969. To celebrate, the cafeteria will hand out moon pies that day to everyone...exciting isn't it!
They have already signed Bet and I up to work for launch on the 11th. Thankfully they did not really push us to work Mothers Day but we will be in every other day.
On Wednesday several of my friends from Payloads met for dinner. Actually one of them was here on vacation visiting from PA. Of course we had plenty to talk about but I had to leave early in order to pick up a prescription and would you believe it when I got there they were already closed. Thankfully I had enough to do me until the next day.
Judy is off to Maryland this weekend, Jess and Casey are participating in a Craft Fair there. I am sure there will be a lot of beautiful things there all home knitting and crocheting...hard to think of that kind of stuff here in Fl this time of year but when you have Bill sitting on the back porch in 80 degree temperature with a sweater and a flannel shirt on I guess it isn't hard to believe.
Got a nice note from Sue, she tells me that they are looking into buying/moving to Arizona. Not really sure why, it was a surprise to me.
Well this is going to be a busy month for me....launch on the 11, Helen comes on the 12th, Pat has a concert on the 17 and then we are going to make a day of seeing the flowers on the 24th...so I should have something to talk about.
Well I guess I had better get busy, got a ticket to go see a flower show this morning, not sure if I will get finish in my yard in time to go. Have a great week and take good care of you!
Lots of Love
