Good morning all hope all went well with you and yours this week. It has been a rather busy week here, got little work done in the yard except water it. I have purchase the water bulb, in fact I bought several. I have a couple of hanging plants that I have hung beyond where the hose will reach so I came up with that idea. It really works I am sure you have seen them. I thought that I was getting such a good deal when I purchased them at the Dollar Store two for ten dollars. Then I saw on ShopNBC six for twenty dollars. The ones I have are only good for larger plants but the really work and takes out the worry of when you should water.
Last Saturday, Diana and I went to visit Dad. We had a nice visit and had dinner at Outback. Diana gave Cisco his bath, which he really doesn't look forward to but is always frisky after.
On Sunday I met Diana & Nancy and we went to the movies. It was called 17 Again I believe. Really enjoyed it, then afterward we went to Nancy's and she had made a Seafood Pasta which was very good. Had a great day.
How come when Southwest Airlines sends out an e-mail stating fares for $49, the one I want is always more. How come when Penny's mail you this big sign saying 40% off and you get excited because the item is on sale that you want an another 40% would really be great, then you find out in small print it is 40% off the original price. Just wondered if this has happened to you?
Got a couple of info things that I would like to share with you....Goggle has a great free service for locating a business. Just dial 1 (800) 466-4411 and give it the name of the business in the U.S. or Canada. An automated system will give you the address and phone number and even connect you if you wish. It is a great thing when traveling and you need information about a restaurant or lodging. Also If you click on the link below and type in your zip code, it will give you some general information and demographics about where you live -- or where you might want to live. Nice concise statistics. http://zipskinny.com/
Sister Helen arrived on Tuesday, I think I have mentioned that we are in need of rain badly and still are but when I went to pick her up the closer to Orlando I got it started to rain and then it turned into a full blown thunder storm. She called and told me that they were sitting on the tarmac and her phone went dead. It was a full two hours before I was able to pick her up. Brought her back to the Island and Diana & Nancy met us for dinner, after all it was her birthday. Took her to Melbourne Wednesday morning where she picked up her rental car. Got a great deal for her through Hot Wire.
Helen also bought me a gift...Fiddlehead's! Yum they were good. Had planned to take a picture of them but they went to quickly. For those of you that are not familiar with fiddlehead's they grow in swamp like areas in the north and is one of the favorite greens of the area. I have not had any in a while and they were great....eat your heart out Pat
On Thursday evening I had my North Merritt Island Advisory Zoning Board meeting. A new Planned development wanted to put a private marina with a boat ramp of 600 ft total into the river. It has been delayed many times and we had a good turn out for the meeting. It took two hours to hear the developer and all the people that wanted to speak against it to be heard. When it was all said and done we voted no on the project.
Well having Bill walk around in his flannel shirt as warm as it is the next item will not surprise you. Our air conditioner went out yesterday and I am dying but I am spending a lot of time in my bedroom where the air works. Hopefully he will be able to get someone to come out on Monday.
Still wrestling with the leak in the pool, but Bill is sure he can figure out where the leak is..........
Have not heard from Joyce on how everything went in NH, hope it wasn't too much for her
Got a note from Sue, someone, somehow got into her mail box and used all her addresses to send out a promotion on electronics. Got to be so careful these days. She has had to change her e-mail address.
Today I will be off to Dad's where he and Helen and I will watch the Preakness. Plan to pick up food to take so we won't miss any part of it
Tomorrow I will be attending Pat's concert in Orlando, Helen is going with me, it should be great entertainment.
Hope all is well with you and yours, drop me a line and keep me up with what is going on in your life. Like to share your pictures also so keep sending them. Have a great week
Lots of Love to all
