Howdy all hope that you have had a great week and all is well with you and yours. The weather here has been a little chilly right up until Wednesday and then it started to get nice again. Felt bad for our visiting relatives from the north, they came here to get warm
Started Saturday off by Joyce and I going to breakfast where Todd works. As you know I love him to death but he certainly isn't a morning person so I had to see him in action at that time of the day Joyce had her fancy phone with her so she took a picture of him a little blurry but you get the picture...hard worker he is and everyone likes him. Good breakfast I enjoyed it. Afterwards Joyce went on her merry way to Dad's.
In the afternoon I went to Dad's taking my new Bull Sticks for Cisco. If you have a dog you should try them, they certainly enjoy them although Dad says they stink.
Nephew Rand and Melissa had arrived the night before and were at Dad to join us at our weekly dinner out night. We had a nice dinner at Out back and I think everyone enjoyed their meal and we certainly enjoyed each other company.
The yard work is patiently waiting for me to get at it. BUT there had been several things in my Dad's yard that I thought needed attention and each week I went down I would chop a few of them. Well I told Joyce the items that were bothering me and she got to it.... as this is a small token of what she did. Then she got William over and he finish up. Haven't seen it yet but it looks like my job working in the yard down there is over for a while.
On Tuesday Joyce and I had a day of "beauty", don't really think she needs it. She doesn't seem to age and her skin is perfect but we did it anyway. I was so lucky I got a gift certificate at Christmas time from Diana and Dan for a facial...love it just can't afford to do it very often and this was great. Then we both had our hair done by Nancy...great day! To round it off, we went to Chili's and had a molten cake...wow that was good!
Birthday's lots of birthday's this week! I want to wish a very happy birthday to Jack Adams who celebrates today! Best wishes to you! Then on the 10 his brother Chris celebrates (not the same Chris from last week) and on the 12 Robbie wife Jennifer will celebrate...and Kari I could kick myself but think your birthday is in there somewhere! Hope you all have a wonderful day!
On Wednesday and Thursday we had our Annual FEW training session in Cocoa Beach at the Holiday Inn. Because of NASA funding we didn't have as many people as we usually had but all went well. Got a kick out of our Keynote speaker her subject was "Stay in the Zone" have a positive attitude no matter what happens. She said that the first thing she does when she wakes up is to smile...and she suggested that we all do that. I love mornings after I wake up, need to sit on the porch for awhile and get my senses straight. Bill on the other hand is the same no matter what time it is. He gets up in the morning and his mouth is running (don't you hate those people) If he came out in the morning yacking away with a smile on his face that would do it for me! Although with all the things I see and hear happening I should smile all the time because I am certainly blessed! I was really pleased Stacey came to the Seminar on Thursday and I got to introduce her to all my co-workers.
On Wednesday Diana had to take Dan to the hospital he was in a lot of pain in his chest area. After many hours in the emergency room he found out that the pain was being caused by fluid in one of his lungs, after 10 hours they admitted him to the hospital. He is in the same hospital that I was in when I was sick last time and is having basically the same problems that I had while I was there. On Thursday he did learn that he had pneumonia, no fever, no cold but that he had pneumonia. We are all grateful for that, although that is not pleasant we were fearful that his problem had return.
Had really hoped that Joyce would go with me the last day of the seminar but she had a better offer from her son so off to Orlando she went. She returned home yesterday, gosh we are going to miss her!
Got a bunch of great pictures of Charlie form Lisa but will share some of them with you another time. Lisa husband Roy is healing fine she tells me from his fall from the roof of a house...
Well now not only do I have trouble with the squirrels getting into my bird feeder, I have to worry about the raccoons. They are cleaning my bird feeders out at night as well as cleaning the tree's of the oranges (that I don't really mind) but what I am concerned about at night is they will be out there in the yard when Cocoa is out and the one that I have seen several times is much bigger than Cocoa.
Well next week seems like it is going to be busier than this week, am going to work launch have a couple of zoning meetings and then there are the Dr. appointments. Oh well it keeps me out of trouble or in trouble what ever works.
Don't forget to set your clock ahead tonight it is always a mess for me to gt use to.
Lots of Love
