March 14, 2009

Good morning all, hope that you have had a great week not only with your every day stuff but with the weather.   The weather here is really getting warm so I really think our winter is over.  Have started to cut on the palm fonts some of them I can reach so I either got to get someone to help me or get the ladder out

Dad and I had a nice visit last Saturday.  We called Uncle Gib, who seems to be losing his eye sight.  Mary tells me she is not sure if it was from the fall he had or it is his diabetes.  But Dad really enjoyed talking to him.  Then we called Aunt Ruby and she recognized my voice right away, that was heart warming.  Then off to Applebee's we went, Dad got his steak as usual and a baked potato.  The last three or four times he has ordered a bake potato it was done and this time was no exception but all in all we enjoyed our meal.

Last Sunday went I went over to the church to fix the drinks I had a surprise.  Just as I turned into the parking lot there were about ten cows just munching away at the grass.  Didn't look up or anything they just kept at it.  By the time I left they were all in the neighbor's yard, bet they were happy about that.

After that I headed in to work, we were all disappointed that launch was schrubed we were ready to launch but it is better to be safe than sorry.  Bet and I have worked several days in a row and we are not through I am scheduled to be into work at 8 this morning, plus work tomorrow.  Isn't it nice to know that we are saving your tax payer dollars  Hopefully we will launch tomorrow.

Had my six month visit with my cardiologist and all is well with me.  I never can understand if I am doing so well why I have to go back in six months

Also this week I had two Planning & Zoning meetings, one in Vera which is the whole county and one for North Merritt Island where we live.  Got to say the one for NMI is one of the hardest ones that I have ever faced.  They want to put a dock for 35 boats with future prospects of another 12 on the property right next to our chruch.  Many people are against it and so was I until I learned if each home owner on the river put in a dock there could be 42 docks there each holding two boats.  We heard the person presenting it but they had not presented it to the NMI homeowners and we asked that anything that is con traversal be presented to them.  Since it wasn't it has been tabled until next month...still can't decide what to do....

Dan was released from the hospital last Saturday, he is feeling better but he certainly isn't 100%.  He and Diana were suppose to leave on Sunday for Utah to his Dr. out there but his Dr. here said he wasn't well enough to fly.

Several weeks ago I told you about my nephew (Helen's son) Dean who is losing his sight.  Judy sent this to me so I could picture him while I am praying for him and I am passing it on to you!

A very happy Birthday to Stephanie who will celebrate her 21st  tomorrow.  Hope it is one of the best ones yet!  Then on the 16th Jeri and Dean will celebrate their 18th wedding anniversary!  Congratulations to you both!

Speaking of good news, while Rand & Melissa (Joyce's son) were here on vacation they became engaged.  He asked her at Disney.  Know my Grandchildren are please they love to go to weddings in New England!

Well folks I hope that you have a wonderful week, must get busy to go to work.
