Good morning all, hope that you have had a productive week. The weather here has been great, lots of wind but can't complain about the temperature. Not a lot to talk about this week so I will just rambles like I usually do.
What a wonderful time I had at Bet & Don 50th Anniversay. The people were so friendly and I even got to meet her youngest sister. WOW what a family she comes from five boys and six girls! Even got to meet a fan of the government channel who watches me every month. I said to Bet see I told you I was a star and you have never seen me in all my glory but your neighbor has. She just laughed and said you will have to tell me when you are on next and what channel and I will take a look. Really not necessary if you aren't interested in that kind of thing but I love to tease her.
On Sunday Diana & I went to visit Dad. Dad had told me Cisco needed food so I was thinking dry food and bought a bag with me. No he was talking about the small Petigree paks that he puts on his food a night...believe me a big difference in the prince. I have been very concerned about Cisco when he eats he has hip displacia and those back legs aren't very strong so I bought a dog table for him, it puts the bowls higher so he doesn't have to lean down so far. Well guess what? He hated it! Would not go near it! Never seen a dog like that, he wouldn't eat so Dad had to put his food back in the normal dishes! Still can't get over it...never saw a dog that wouldn't eat because of the bowls.
We headed out to a new restaurant that I wanted to try to guess what? Not open on Sunday so maybe we will try it today. We ended up eating at Chili's which I thought would be a change. But let me tell you what Dad said when I asked him on the way home how was his steak? He said I guess I have had worse.....tell you something
On Monday I started some weeding...will never get that done. As I mentioned I have lost a lot of plants but some of them are coming back. I also started to empty pots with dead plants in the to get ready for the new one. I filled two wheel barrels full...lots of dead plants.
On Tuesday I was invited to a St. Patrick's dinner at a friend from FEW. It was delayed a week because several of our members were out of town. Have you ever tried that soda bread that the Irish make? I had never had it before but I thought it was quite good.
Also I found out that Pat had hurt his ankle during rehearsal. Thank goodness he didn't break it but I understand it sure caused him some pain.
On Wednesday was the day to spray my old pots. They are not fancy pots just the plastic ones that are the terra cotta color. As long as they are in good shape I hate to buy new ones so I spray paint them. They look great when I am finished but this year with our 20 miles an hour wind it was difficult. When I went to get the paint I also seen a new paint for plastic but it didn't have the terra cotta but right away I thought about my plastic chair that I have out side. They stain so easy and you can't even bleach the stains out. So I got a can and spray painted it maroon color...yes I am getting down to what my problem is from that....my fingers are so sore not to mention my arm. So I suggest that if you are going to do this you don't spay six big pots and a chair at one time......
This is not the chair but it the same only a big one...and now mine is maroon.

I met Karen for lunch on Wednesday and we solved most of the world's problems, now don't you feel better
Thursday I made a trip to Home Depot to get my potting soil, I got two large bags of the kind that holds the moisture. Can anyone tell me how much 64 quarts weights? Of course I didn't get away from there without buying some plants...got a lot more to busy.
Today is going to be a busy day for me. I am finally going to apply for a passport after all these years of talking about it. They are having like a special I believe in all post offices (were designated) were you can get everything taking care of at once, picture etc. Then I have to be at work at 10 to help with badging and then landing at 1:42...sure hope it lands safely and on time because after that I will be off to Dad's.
Well I hope all goes well with you this week and everyone is healthy. Some of us are very fortunate and we should be thankful every day. Let me hear from you.
Lots of Love
