Happy Valentine's day!

Well how is everything going with you and yours?  The weather here has been great, not too hot and not too cold...my kind of weather  As I have mentioned many times I love to sit on my back porch and admire my plants and flowers, it is getting more and more difficult to do.  They look so sad but I have been cautioned not to touch them until the end of February.  My poor palm trees look the worse I think, it certainly will be a job for Todd when he is free to do it.

Well Dad and I had a real experience going out to dinner on Saturday.  They say that business is really suffering because of the economy but the restaurants that we went to are certainly not.  First we went to Red Lobster and there was a long line outside, plus the parking lot was moving around to find a place to parkso we knew that it would be a long wait.  So off to Outback we went, found a parking space right away only to learn when we got in side that there would be at least an hour wait...so much for that.  So off to Applebee's we went.  Got right in but it also was packed.  Told Dad there must be a holiday that we didn't know about.  It took us almost and hour to get out food....so needles to say neither of us were happy campers.

On Monday night I had my Planning & Zoning meeting which thankfully was not very long and most of what we had was approving "Grandfather items".

On Tuesday I took Bill to Orlando to the VA dermatologist.   They did minor surgery on his face and ear.  Hopefully they got it all.  Bill seems to be doing much better, he is now able to walk.

I cannot believe it, my Granddaughter Krista will be 22 on the 17th.  Just can't understand how that can be when her Mom is only 21.  Happy Birthday sweet Krista, may it be one of the best that you will ever have.  Then my cousin Carla will celebrate on the 18th, not quite sure her age but she can't be any older than Diana  Happy Birthday Carla!

On Wednesday I had lunch with Karen at the Cswy Dinner.  He horse is boarded not far from there and she wants to keep close tabs on him.  Bo has had the colic and she has been there just about every chance she can get to help get him well.

We are all looking forward to the next shuttle launch but it looks like it will be no earlier than the 22.  Maybe if it is delayed a few more days Liz, Rik and family will be here.  The 22 is a special day because sister Joyce will arrive for two weeks.

On Thursday I took Dad for his eye Dr. appointment.  Gosh I have never seen anything like it.  It was a huge place and they must have had 10 receptionist, no wonder the founder of the business retired and owns hundreds of acres of land in the middle of the state try to preserve the old time Fl.  He certainly can afford it you can tell by the business.

On Thursday evening I had my North Merritt Island Zoning meeting.  We had three people running for one unfilled seat.  One was a daughter of someone already on the board.  I did not feel that it was right for her to be on the board, sighting the Sunshine Law.  But I guess there was only two of us that felt that way she was approved...Can't always have it like you want it but you got to try...

Yesterday Nancy did my hair and as always it was great to see her.  Work has been quite slow for her but thankfully yesterday she had a full day.

Todd has a new job, he is now a bus boy at the same place that Krista works.  It is a nice place and the food is good so maybe this job will last awhile for him.  Like with everyone else it is hard for college kids to get jobs.

Had a wonderful surprise yesterday morning....Dawn came out she brought me a dozen roses and dinner for both of us.  The roses were beautiful and the food was terrific.  She also help ease my mind of a problem that I had both Bill and I have Dr. appointments on the 24th and their was no way I could make both.  She has volunteered to take him, so that certainly relieves my mind.

Bet called me yesterday in the afternoon and asked me if I would like to go out to dinner.  Of course the answer was yes besides the fact it had been quite some time since I had seen her We ate at the wonderful Mexican  restaurant which I don't get to eat at very often.  I was reminded that today was Valentine's day so maybe Dad and I should go out earlier than usual since we have found in the last week everyone likes to eat out.

Well I guess that is about it for another week, please take good care of yourself and drop me a line would love to hear from you.

Lots of Love
