Good morning all how was your week? Mine has been a little busy but nothing to complain about. Really felt good to get outside and do some work in the yard. Just the right temp...in the 70's. But just so we wouldn't forget how you people have it up north we did have some temps in the low 30's. I know you have heard this before but I love it give freshness in the air. Of course Bill has the heat on 90 although I have bought him two space heaters to keep him warm where he is but this is a big house so the heat is high all the time. I walk around in my underwear with my clothes piled by the door when I go out. But sadly we did have two nights of frost and my poor plants in the back yard look sick. I hope it just shocked them, I certainly would hate to lose them.
Dad is still suffering from his fall, his ribs were X-ray and no broken bones but they are still sore. The thing that bothers him the most is his jaw. He didn't mention it when he went to the Dr but if it continues to bother him Lana is going to take him to the Dr. Last Saturday we went to Applebea's and he really enjoyed his steak, but says he wouldn't be able to eat one now his jaw is too sore.
Diana and Todd had a great time at the college. They were wined and dined (figuratively speaking) and they got to see what cold and snow is all about. No decision has been made about it.

On Monday I met Karen for lunch and we caught up on all the happenings from when we last met. This Saturday she and her horse Beau will perform in her first "show". Sorry I am going to miss it.

On Tuesday I attended the NASA Alumni League in Cape Canaveral. Our speaker was the deputy Director at Kennedy. Would you believe she has only been with NASA two years? Her speech was on the different prospective's of NASA people and contractor....One interesting thing that happened is they asked how many people still volunteer at the Center and would you believe about 3/4 of them do......Now I am not sure if we are saving NASA or the Contractor a lot of money.
On Wednesday I took Cocoa to the groomer. She was quite worried that she did not have a sweater because it was calling for the temps to go down to 20 on Thursday morning. I know you can see what it coming...for the first time ever my dog has a sweater and it lots of fun putting it on her.
Finally have a birthday this week, and it just anyone birthday it is Jacob's birthday on the 26th and he will be nine years old. He is my nephew Rand son and bless his heart he has been quite sick over the holiday's. He had pneumonia and a tad of it went to his brain and he was having trouble just standing but he is slowly on his way to recovery...we have prayed big time for him and God was listening. So I wish you a very happy Birthday sweet Jacob!!!
Still taking the screws out of the freezer door so the new gasket can be replaced if I ever get it. I think I am down to about 10 screws...don't remember how many I thought there were in the door but it was more than that.
Dan's trip to Salt Lake City to see his oncologist has been delayed until March...I think that is a good thing don't think it will be as cold. It is a beautiful place and he and Diana have never been there.
Just a helpful hint in case you didn't know if you get blood on something peroxide will take it out. Of course not if it has been sitting along time but for the most part it works like a charm.
Yesterday was Baxley Manor day and all went smoothly. We all did out bit to stock them up for the month. I even picked oranges and took them down which is a story in itself. After we delievered to went and had lunch, I had put my debit card in my pant pocket and as we were leaving I reached in to get it...........it was gone! Scared me I could not imagine what I did with it. So I came right home...yes I had been other places besides Baxley but something told me it was at home. I came in the house and looked everywhere for it nothing. Then I went out where I picked the fruit and there it was lying on the ground, just waiting for me to come get it. I could not get over it and was VERY thankful that is for sure.
Well this morning I am off to the Church Conference in Orlando. It is an all day event...no nap for me today Tomorrow I will go to Dad's.
Well, please take good care of yourself and keep in touch and have a great week.
Lots of Love

Here is a picture of Todd proving he can be so "cool" in cold weather

My nephew Kyle and wife Eric attended the inauguration in D.C. on Tuesday. There wasn't many people there as you can see and they certainly stand out in the crowd I have other pictures but you can see them just as clearly as the one above
