Good morning all hope that you had a wonderful week. It has been a fairly busy week for me. It has gotten quite cool here, but I know it isn't as cold as it is where most of you live. But I like it, gives us a change. Of course I have to have two sets of clothing to wear each day, one for in the house (summer) and one for outside
Last Saturday, Diana went with me to visit Dad. She now only has Saturday off every other week and she had so much to do to prepare for her trip with Todd to Greenville, Pa she decided that she would go with me and give Cisco his bath and have her Sunday free for all the other stuff she had to do. We decided to go to Outback for dinner and we all enjoyed it. Of course when we came out it was dark and although he is 91 Dad walks rather briskly. I noticed that the parking cement (don't know what is called) was knocked out of place and said Dad be careful! When he hit it. Down he went, Diana rushed to break his fall and tripped also but she didn't go down. I was so scared but he said he was fine. We got him up and checked his hands and he said the only thing that bothered him was his chin. When we got back to Dad's I check and although he had a small red spot on his knee, the skin was not broken, just under his chin. I was satisfied that he was alright. Lana went over about an hour after I left and his neck was bruised, he was having a hard time breathing. Thankfully he is alright but has been quite sore all week.
On Saturday evening I got a call from Joyce that Jeff's Mom had passed away. It is sad in many ways but that is what she wanted, she was 93 would have been 94 in April. As was said she is now with her husband and love ones and she is happy. Although she is gone she leaves behind many loving memories so she will go on in our hearts for ever.
On Monday my cleaning lady came and as I have mentioned in the past she is great with hiding things from me. We had gotten a new microwave and I had the instructions on top of it...well it disappeared when she came last time and for the life of me I could not find it. Also one of the antenna's on my router was missing. So now we know where they are if I could just get her to put the phone next to the bed and not at the opposite corner of the night stand we will be fine

Tuesday & Wednesday I worked at the Press site. On Wednesday they had roll out to the pad, it was awesome. The launch is scheduled for the 12th of February (which is Bill's birthday by the way) at 7:35 in the morning. Which means we will be going into work in the middle of the night. Interesting thing was one of the networks called to see if the astronauts on Space Stations would be watching the live broadcast of the inauguration? The answer is no, TV is only broadcast to them in sprits so they watch nothing live on TV.
Awesome!!!
Diana & Todd left early yesterday morning for PA. According to my weather map she was going from 54 degree's to 9 below 0. That should help Todd decide if he wants to go to school thereThey are most likely freezing their butts off. Talked to her last night and all was going well. Just so they won't have the experience alone, on the 1st of February Dan goes to Salt Lake City, Utah to see his oncologist. That also should be darn right cold!
Well my freezer which is about 25 years old froze shut this week and
Bill couldn't get it open. Can't complain about it, it has worked great except the gasket around the door has finally given out. Talked to sister Judy who had replaced one on her frig and she said if it had screws holding it in replacing it should work and of course it does have screws all around the door. I was lucky after checking several sites to actually find one. It will take about a week to get here and in the mean time I will be taking out the screws...I bet there are at least 40 or more of them. Who knows how long it will take me to put them back on.
On Thursday evening I attended the FEW meeting and everyone are all a buzz about our up coming seminar's. Lots of work to be done and NASA has always supported these training sessions in a big way but it doesn't look like that is going to happen this year. Although the contractor part of NASA seems to be endorsing them. There is talk that this might be the last local training session because of it.
It also looks like on the 24th I will be attending the Diocesan Convention in Orlando. I haven't been asked as yet but got my notification that I had been chosen.
Last night met with some old friend from Op's when I worked for NASA. We try to meet every month but are not always successful. Hopefully next month everyone will be able to make it.
We I guess I have rambled on enough, hope you have a great week. May the Lord Bless our new President most people are expecting miracles from him and the rest expect him to fail....
Lots of Love
