Good morning all hope this has been a great week for you. Got some great news Fred is on his way home and he is doing much better than expected...Prayers really count! Thank you!
Went down to Dad's last Saturday prepared to chop more of a shrub that he had that had become a tree. I have been cutting on each week but what a surprise when I got there Nephew William had chopped it all down...no more cutting on that one for a while. Now he has one more that need to be "trimmed" I hope to start on that one soon.
Dad and I went to Applebea's for dinner, I have one complaint about them and that is the bake potato is never done. Got a kick out of Dad he said you can tell this isn't a Maine potato it is to hard.
On Monday I had my Local Planning meeting for Brevard County. I truly didn't understand what they were asking us to do until I got there. They wanted us to ok a driveway that was below standard because this couple house was 1/2 mile from the road, and the main road was below standard and there was no plan in the next five years to bring the road up to standard. Could not believe it, I certainly wasn't for it we keep talking about safety and we all have been near flood out not long ago...no way like Mom use to say what is good for the goose is good for the gander. Thankfully it was turned down by us who knows what the commissioners will do.
On Saturday brother-in-law Greg got a bug and was quite sick. Judy was concerned that she might get it because of her traveling to Fl. She left on Monday and was feeling fine, Tuesday was a different story. She arrived here about 7:30 and she was one sick puppy. By Wednesday she was feeling better so off to Dad's she went. Her great concern was that she would give it to one of us. But it looks like we made it through it. Bless her heart I don't know how she did it drive all that way as sick as she was. But when she arrived at Dad's Lilly made a big hit, so was so at home that she fell asleep on Dad's lap.
Poor Patrick he has been in a tether for the last two weeks. His company was going to lay off (always at Christmas it seems) 4,000 people. So for two weeks he has been waiting to find out what will happen finally on Thursday he got the news the he was safe. This kind of thing gets harder and harder the older you get. But Thankfully he is safe for now. I do feel bad for those that were cut.
Just curious do you give something to your Postman, paper carrier or what ever at Christmas?
Really worried about Diana it seems there is a man on her route that has lost his senses. He has been in the Post Office several times. His daughter came in and put a hold on his mail and said she had the power of attorney. Well he doesn't think so and he has threaten the people at the Post Office but he lives on her route...he is angry and who knows what could happen.
On Tuesday my convection oven went to heaven! You never know how much you use a microwave until you don't have one. I checked on line and was told I could get one at Home Depot, Sears...well Home Depot had the over the stove ones and Sears had a small one. I was getting flustered I think the one I had was about 10 years old and I had to get that one in Orlando. But luck was with me and I found one locally. So we are back in business again. That is a story in itself...first problem was how do I get the old one out to the road for the trash people...Well I took my office chair and put it on that and rolled it out to the back door. Then I put it in the wheel barrel and out it went. The funny thing about that it was not easy to do for the amount of time it took me to take it out...someone stopped and got it! I don't mind if they can fix it great or if they are going to sell it for parts that's fine too only it took me longer to take it out then for them to pick it up. When I got the new one I back up to the front door...got a dolly and brought it in...of course the hard part was lifting it up on the counter but it is done. Now I just have to figure out how to use it
Well Folks I hope that you have a wonderful Christmas and that all is well with you & yours. Thanks for the cards. I am sure your week will be as busy as mine. On Monday we are doing Baxley and it will great to see the smiles on their faces.
Lots of Love

The quote is an oldie...but I am sure we all remember it.
How do I love thee? Let me count the ways. I love thee to the depth and breadth and height my soul can reach. - Elizabeth Barrett Browning, poet (1806-1861)
