September 27, 2008

Another week has flown by so quickly, has it always been this way or does it just seem that way because I am older J No one answered me on the price of gas were you are so I guess it must be low…it is going down here but not as much as I would like.

Took the stones down to Dad’s last Sat.  He was very disappointed that his plumeria (frangipani)    had lost all its leaves last week, but tells me they are sprouting new ones.    Took the remainder of the bags of stones down on Saturday and William put them out when he mowed the lawn on Thursday, Dad said he did a great job!

On Saturday evening Dad and I tried Chili’s for dinner.  Dad first evaluates if the place is very clean and then we go from there.  This Chili’s was clean according to Dad but they need to redo their menu.  So I think it will be awhile before we go back there J

Wow on Sunday was a very busy day for me.  I believe I mentioned that Pat was coming over to take me to lunch but I certainly didn't expect what happened.  I had suggested we try Mexican (which I love) and he and David went from there.  They knew of a great Mexican restaurant but it was in Orlando where they live so back to Orlando we went.  The place is called Azteca the food was great, they give you way more than anyone person can eat.  I loved it   Then off to Bath and Body works to pick up some of their foaming hand soap which is great…what a treat and it wasn't even my birthday!

Then they both came to the house to help solve some problems that I was having with my computer.  Pat never shows me how he does it, he just does it.  Which is ok I guess because I don't know what the heck he is doing, I just know it is better.

Todd came over late Sunday afternoon to do some of the chores that I had for him to do.  This time the chores were not easy, kind of had to chuckle.  One of the things I had for him to do was to remove the plant, then the dirt from the large pot I had outside.  All was going pretty smoothly until the pot cracked into and the bottom fell out.  All the stones that were in the bottom fell in the hole that he was going to put the pot in.  So he had to shovel all the stone out, then sort the stone from the dirt…I thought it was funny but I am sure he didn't!  He did a great job by the way!

On Monday I went into work at the Press Site for the launch.  It was very interesting as always and I enjoyed it.  It is one of my favorite non paying jobs J   Hopefully, all will go well and we will have launch on 14th  and at a much better time 10:19pm.  I believe the launch time set for launch on the 10 was like 2:30 am.

Niece Jessica was picked as buyer of the month by Etsy’s  magazine this month.  I think I mention that she and her husband Casey started  Ravelry.com, the knitting and crochet community website last year. Ravelry has taken the fiber world by storm and grown to over 180,000 users and 2.8 million page views per day.  You go Jess and Casey!!!! check the article out  http://www.etsy.com/storque/section/spotlight/article/featured-buyer-jessica-marshall-forbes-of-ravelrycom/2608/

We have another football star….”Great nephew (have to get use to saying that)  Alex Michaud

He is playing Varsity at his high school and doing a great job…Got to get busy and make one of those Star shirts for sister Joyce J  There are other up and coming stars in that family Ian is doing a great job and of course there is Jake.  Not sure what position they play but hopefully I can fill you in next week on that one.

Our dining room chairs are slowly falling apart and one of my job on my list was to replace them before Thanksgiving.  I am happy to note that I got that accomplished this week.  I happen to drive by an antique shop and outside they had my chairs…I couldn't believe it.  I had looked them up as Diana suggested and found them at Kane’s for $80 a piece but I got these for $25.  I should be named shopper of the week!  J

The outcome doesn't look good for Bill to have his surgery locally.  The VA has turned him down and yesterday he went to see the VA Service guy and it doesn't look hopeful.  It is too bad he hadn't signed up for both Medicare offerings and at least he would be sitting better.  We will just have to wait and see.

As I said our Church is putting out a picture directory, I really like those since I am terrible with names it really helps me.  This is what my picture turn out like…enjoy you just don't see me smile that much J

Well I guess I have rambled on enough….the weather here has been a little cooler and easier to work outside.  No word on Dan please keep them in your thoughtss

Please take good care of you and keep in touch...and have a great week!

Lots of Love
