Good morning everyone. Boy this week has flown by for me, how about you? We are still getting our afternoon rain but not just rain we get all the bells and whistles with it. Cocoa is not too happy about that I will tell you My main chore this week is battling the vines that are coming over from our next door neighbor’s yard into our maple tree. I have cut a bunch of vines but most of them I can't reach because they are so high, it is just worrying me to death I just know they will kill the tree.
Last Saturday evening Lana and Sheri joined Dad and I for dinner as well as nephew Robert and his wife Jennifer and nephew Peter. They were there to help celebrate Dad’s 91’s birthday! We were so pleased to have them join us, we had a great time I just don't get to see them enough!
On Tuesday Bill went for his cat scan only to find out there was no cat san that day it was more test. He was quite upset with them I will tell you. They wanted more blood from him when they have taken blood three times already in the last week! From what he told me his cat scan will be in Sept. But his letter from the VA arrived yesterday and he is scheduled to go on August 13th.
Did you know they give horse baths? I am learning all kinds of things about horses. They also get a conditioner (smile) but things are going very well for my friend Karen’s Bo!
My friend Kari daughter Tori had surgery on her knee last Friday and it turned out they had to do surgery on both knee’s. She was shocked to find that out when she woke up but she is doing fine. Had to manipulate in a wheel chair for a few days but now she is on crunches and well on her way to recovery. Thanks so much for your prayers.
I am so pleased after all these years of wanting us to get our will done it will come into being on Tuesday. Bill is still not real happy about it, not the will itself but how much it cost and how far we have to go to sign it. The attorney office is in Cocoa Beach and believe me that isn't far from here.
As most of you know brother-in-law Greg had a heart attach on Wed. evening. Sister Judy was in Boston helping to get everything ready for the big wedding coming up on the 9th. He drove himself to the hospital and they had to do emergency surgery on him to put in a stint. It looks like he will have to have that surgery again on Tuesday for another artery. He has been moved from intensive care and is doing well. Of course we are all praying that all will be fine and he will be at the wedding. They say he should be released on Wed. So thanks so much for your prayers and please keep them coming!
We have two special Birthday this week, my sister Lana will celebrate on the third. She is on the road traveling as we speak so I hope it is a wonderful birthday. The second one is my dear brother-in-law David who will celebrate on the 5th. Hope you both have a great day and we will see you soon!
Last night I joined old friends from NASA for dinner. As always it was great seeing them. We had lots of things to talk about as usual, with lots of laughs (that is what I enjoy most) We made plans to meet again next month.
Well we are working fast and furious to get ready for our big trip on Wed. Just hope the trunk will fit all the luggage! I will not be sending out just chatting next week because I will be in Sturbridge, MA so I will catch up with you on the following week.
Carla/Gloria how about an update on how Aunt Ruby is doing?
So remember no matter what else you do please remember take good care of you!
Lots of Love
