Hello everyone, hope you have had an uneventful week. I understand that it is quite warm up north believe me it is quite warm here also. If I don’t get out in my yard before 10 forget it! I was out spraying the nut grass the other morning and I could hardly stand it was so warm!
My grandson Pat was walking home from work about a week ago and got mugged. Bless his heart I understand he got quite a beating, blacked his eyes and broke his nose. Thankfully he was able to make it back to were he works and called the police. They got the guys that did it. He is alright, don’t look so hot that handsome face but he will be fine. Thankfully since then he has bought a car and doesn’t have to walk home anymore.
Bet is/was in Arizona at the London Bridge the beginning of the week, just talked to her last night and they were coming into Albuquerque. The place that Helen just left it was so nice to hear from her and that they are having a great time.
My friend Karen has been taking riding lessons and was really getting into it. I could see it coming she bought a new sadle, new boots, new riding britches and other stuff that is needed. In fact she had everything she needed but a horse. Now she has her very own horse Bo is his name I have not seen him but have seen pictures he is a beautiful horse. She is going to the stable almost everyday and getting lots of exercise. Love horses but have never really gotten into riding them…Joyce did for a while.
My friend Kari daughter Tori had surgery on her knee yesterday, she is barrely a teen.. She has dislocated her knee cap on her right leg 4 times and once on the left in just over 2 years so the doctors said its time to fix it. They are going to repair a stretched ligament and put a plate with screws over her growth plate because she is knock kneed and they feel this is the root of the dislocating problem. The plate will allow the outside of the leg to catch up with the inside. I have not heard from Kari since the surgery but both she and her daughter were quite tense about the surgery. Please keep them in your prayers.
Bill went to the VA Dr on Tuesday and he is in fine shape! Don’t really understand it the way he drinks and eats but the Dr. thinks it is gennic. He fell a couple of times last week so the Dr. has ordered a cat scan for him on Tuesday to see if any damage was done.
The only concern I have for my trip is will we have a problem getting all five of our suitecases in the trunk of my car as well as the rental. Both Nancy and I now have smaller suite cases as well as my grandchildren. Dad says we should have a dry run to see if they will all fit. (smile) We are certainly getting down to the wire for our trip. Lana leaves this week and plans to be gone from here a month!
We have a very, very special Birthday this week, my Dad will be 91 on the 31st! We plan to celebrate it two times on the next two Sat. If you have time, drop him a line and wish him the best. His e-mail address is rpwillett@bellsouth.net! On the very same day dear friends Carol and Gary Powers will celebrate their anniversay! Hope you have a wonderful day!
About the same time that my rings were stolen, my yellow livestrong bracelet broke. So not only was I having withdrawals from missing my rings my wrist was lost without the bracelet. Well I did my usual whinny about it because niece Ann had given me the first one not to long after Dan had been diagnosed with cancer. Judy found the web site for me and I am now back in business with my bracelet. So if anyone needs one let me know (you have to order 10) I am now down to eight.
On Thursday Cocoa went to the “Beauty Shop” for her monthly visit. But the most important thing was that Todd came out to help me in the yard. The big thing that I wanted him to do was spray the vines that are growing around the outskirts of the yard. They are terrible, killing the tree’s they grow in. BUT it was too wet so he couldn’t do it. So we just sit and chatted for awhile. Don’t get to do that very often it was very nice!
Please remember take good care of you!
Lots of Love
