It’s a rainy night in Georgia so the Ray Charles song goes, don’t know about Georgia but do know that we have had a lot of rain here! My nut grass is doing a great job in my flower beds and I can’t spray them. I am hoping what the weather man on TV says is true that we are going to get the next few days without rain. The other thing that has upset me is the person that mows are lawn finished up in the rain and now I have clumps of grass on the fense and in my flower beds….guess I have to complain about something (smile)
Want to start right off by telling you how proud I am of my sister Lana. She has lost 90 pounds and is still going! For the record she tells me she is not obese any more just over weight. I believe most of us know how hard it is to lose weight and how easy it is to put it on. She is doing a great job it is slow but I know she will make it!
Got a call from friend Bet she and her husband are in Colarado. She tells me that the temp was 70…boy would I like that! They are having a wonderful time and still havelots of traveling yet to do before they come on home!
On Monday I hit the ground arunning in hopes to get new tires on my car. Bill had said before I went on the last trip that the back tires on my car worried him, so once he put that in my mine it worried me also (smile) Don’t know about where you live but I always shope around to try to get the best deal I can on tires and it has been BJ’s. He told me it would be like an hour before my car was ready and I could see no problem with that because I had a list of stuff I needed to pick up at BJ’s. Had not gotten back to the shop but about five minutes and it was ready. Gosh I was pleased about that because I just hate waiting.
I had one more stop and that was the grocery store and then my day would be over! On the way to Publix the warning sign came on in my car that the front left tire was low. Really didn’t think to much about it because sometimes it takes awhile to adjust. Did my shopping at Publix…yes I had frozen items! Turned on the car and the car told me that I had nine pound of air in that front tire! I looked and boy it knew what it was talking about to me it was flat! So back to BJ’s I went it took them longer to look to see what was wrong with that tire than it took them to rotate all four tires and replace two! I was just sick I knew all the frozen stuff I had wouldn’t be any good! I was there at least an hour and a half at 87 degree tempature…I knew they would be melted because I certainly was! But the good news is it was fixed!
Helen arrived safely in Albuquerque and she is having a great time. The weather is even cooperating with her, not too hot!
Well one of the exciting things I did this week was to harvest one of my pinapples. Gosh it was good, I learned something about it at the same time…I have been cutting them when they have turn slightly yellow but this one for one reason or the other I put off cutting. It was yellow and so sweet…loved it!
The only Birthday that I know of this week is my good friend Lori! Her special day is the 20th won’t tell you how old she is but I will tell you we are the same age now! (smile) Have the best of Birthday’s Lori you are a sweetheart! She is the friend that helps (or should I say does all the shopping) for
Speaking of Baxley yesterday was the day for it! Thanks to everyone’s help we were able to fill the pantry, isn’t that great!
Dad has a new show that he likes it is called the Great American Dog. Have you watched it?
Well we only have 18 more days before we start our travel to NH for the MA wedding on the 9th. Do plan while we are there to get in a visit with Uncle David. Spoke to him and he seems willing to have us looking forward to that.
Next week will be busy, Bill has a Dr. appointment and I have two so it shouldn’t be boaring. Please remember take good care of you!
Lots of Love
