May 10, 2008

Good morning all hope you have had a great week! There is nothing too exciting going on here so I will just ramble.

Dad and I watched the Kentucky Derby last Saturday. They televise the leading up to the race forever and the race only last two minutes! There were a lot of beautiful horses in the race and the sad thing about it is the runner up horse broke both of her ankles at the end of the race and had to be put down. Such a shame!

We finally had all the yard trash picked up Thursday and they left as much as a normal pick up would be all across the front yard. As hot as it has been here (in the high 80’s) it will have to be done at night or in the very early morning. Have been going out and working in my yard just about everyday early and then stop when the sun starts beating down. Diana has been a real sweetheart I tell you twice this week I have gotten mulch and she has come over after work and lifted it out of the vehicle and put it down for me. It took her no time to do it and if I had done it still wouldn’t be all down.

Really excited about Sunday where my family is going to come over and do some yard work for me for my Mother’s Day present. I know it isn’t too exciting for them but mainly it will be pressure washing my china wall and putting down mulch. Diana and I figure we need about 50 more bags! But it will look great once it is done!

Forgot to mention that last week Lana and friend Sheri went down to Dad’s scrubbed the kitchen floor and did all the dusting. He said he never noticed it before they did it but afterwards he could tell it really needed to be done! Thanks Lana and Sheri

I mentioned weed killer last week if you use it, what kind do you use? I put it down on Tuesday and even today where I sprayed looks healthy!

On Monday I had my monthly Planning and Zoning meeting in Viera. Nothing too exciting about the only thing that hits home is a condo was built here and the owners went bankrupt. This gentleman has bought it and plans to make the building affordable housing.

Thursday both Bet and I worked at the Press Site. The astronauts have been here this week doing rehearsal for the launch on the 31st. I will be working next week on Wednesday, the lady that runs the office at the Press Site’s husband had a tumor removed from his brain (he is doing well thank the Lord) but he has to go back for a check up in Gainesville and she needs someone to cover the office.

Want to wish a very special Birthday today to Charles & Dudley Morrell and a very Happy Birthday to Sister Helen on Monday, and the best of Birthday to a great friend Karen on the 14th, the very best of days to all!

Stacey took her Mom Diana to see Tim McGraw last night in Tampa. Hope they had a wonderful time.

I got the most beautiful tulips from Pat & Dave for Mother’s day…Love flowers welcome them anytime J I have about 35 feet of weeding and trimming to do before they get here tomorrow so I had better get busy! Hopefully I will learn how to download my pictures so I can show you what we have done….won’t be on the garden tour but it will look great I know!

For those of you that are Mothers I wish you the very best of days!

Hope all is well with you and that you have a wonderful week, Please remember take good care of you!

Lots of Love

a (aa) Mom`g`
