April 12, 2008

Good morning all don’t know about where you are but we finally got some much needed rain. I was really concerned since I have been out of pocket so to speak that my plants were going to die from lack of water but it looks like they might make it…...now next week they are predicting that on Tuesday it will hit a low of 46 here, know that you really sympathize with us especially those of you that are in Northern Maine but it will be a big surprise to me if it does.

I am finally feeling half normal and am very pleased about that. Now I just have to watch to not over do. I have gotten out in the yard some this week, not enough to make a real difference but at least it made me feel better.

Well I just want you to know that Diana, Krista and Todd gave me just what I wanted for my birthday! They worked on my china wall for about two hours. They didn’t get it all done but what a wonderful job they did. Krista really got into pulling weeds and did a great job. At this point of my life this is the kind of gift that I really love because I do have a big yard and it is hard for me to keep it up like I would like to. I am really looking forward to Mothers Day because I have been promised that they will be back and finish up. Isn’t that great!

Dad and I went to Applebee’s for dinner last Sat. (know that is a surprise) and it seems our favorite waitress has transfer to days. We will surly miss her now we have to break someone else in.

Monday was a full day for me….decided that I would go to the Planning and Zoning meeting in my attempt to get better. My cleaning lady came that day and she bought someone with her as she has for the last four times. Wasn’t too happy about that but I understand that they can get more work done in less time with two of them. They left about 11:45; I had my lunch, took a quick nap and then got ready to go to my meeting. The last thing I do as I go out the door is put on my jewelry. Well guess what two of my rings were missing!

I was just sick because one of them was a ring I had made that I loved. I went on to my meeting and the only thing that kept my mind off the missing jewelry was the fact that chairman was not there and I had to conduct the meeting.

As soon as I got out of the meeting I contacted the cleaning lady whom I have had for seven years by the way and my only fault with her in the past has been she hides stuff on me… Well in she believes that everything has its place and it shouldn’t be out! Of course she could not believe it and the gal that helped her she trusted and knew she wouldn’t do it. Anyway, they come over and help search the house again and of course still no rings. They insisted that I call the authorities which I did. The deputy came out questioned them check their back ground no record except some traffic stops.

My rings are gone and I will never get them back. Karen the cleaning lady said she understood how I felt and what ever I wanted to do she would understand. Well maybe I should have just fired them both since she trusted the other lady so much but I told her that she would be welcomed back but I did not want the other lady in my house….what would you have done?

Bill continues to do well with his new eye (smile) next Tuesday he will have the other one done. Right now he is schedule for 10:45 but I am sure they will change that to much earlier at least they did the first one.

Finally got my taxes done and what a relief, wonder why we put things like that off? Or at least I do anyway? It was relatively painless although we did have to pay.

I got the survey from the hospital wanting to know how I was treated there. Believe me I answered it and sent a copy of my complaint to both of my Dr. as well as the Joint Commission who oversee their operation. But I got to thinking I don’t remember filling out that survey for other hospitals when I felt they treated me well. So you can believe in the future

(hopefully not soon) if I have to go to another hospital I will fill out the survey. By the way they did a study on area hospitals and the one that I was in was rated the worse! I can certainly believe it can’t you?
