Good morning all how was your week? Got to say thankfully each day I have started to feel better. Still feel a little weak but the Doctor says it will be another week before I start feeling normal.
Since my week really had little activity I will ramble for a while. Pat and Dave brought us Easter dinner and it was great and we had a nice visit.
Well it is official after 36 years Sister Joyce is retiring got the notice this week. She is really looking forward to it and now will make room for all the other activities that she does.
We have decided that it is time for Dad to have someone else do his lawn. But it is hard enforcing it (smile) it has to be done a certain time and a certain way. This week nephew William came to perform those duties. Put out fertilizer for him, mowed, edged and put down chips around his flower bed. Good job William we are all proud of you!
On Tuesday Bill had the cataract surgery on his right eye. I know when I had it done they put me to sleep but not Bill he was very apprehensive about it but all went well. I still was pretty weak on that day so I rested in the car all worked out well. I think I have mentioned how cold natured he is well they gave him a small afghan that one of the ladies crochet. It looks like about the size of a flag and it is red, white and blue. He couldn’t see how that would keep him warm it had holes in it (smile). He was sure the first day that he couldn’t see any better but the next morning he could see a lot better. Each day it gets better. His worry is his driver’s license but the Dr. won’t sign for him to get them until he has both eyes done. So I went to the Driver License place and got him and extension on his until May 26.
The people at the Church have been wonderful; I have so much food in the house I don’t know what to do with it. It has ranged from Chili, pot roast, home made lasagna, macaroni and cheese, ham and barbecue. It was wonderful and it sure took the guessing out of what we would have for dinner.
Felt so bad that I wasn’t able to work the landing but it was beautiful just don’t know how the did it with out me (smile). Poor Lana she has had it this week also, she got the shingles it was awful in the beginning but hopefully she is doing a lot better as she has returned to work.
Today I am going to venture to Dad’s, Diana is going with me. I am sure that I am up to it and it has been two weeks since I have seen him. Still not sure if I can do the drinks at church on Sunday but we will take that as it comes.
My yard is making me sick, I am watching the weeds grow as I sit. Hopefully next week I will feel well enough to get out there and start pulling them.
Again I would like to thank everyone for the beautiful flowers, all the cards and phone calls you all have just been great. You never know if someone will be there when you need them and I certainly had a lot of people standing in line to help. …Hope every one had a wonderful Easter weekend and remember please take good care of you!
Lots of Love
