Last week I said there would not be a Just Chatting this morning but plans changed, the convention is being held in Ormond Bch so we decided to drive up last night for the meeting and then come home rather than spending the night.
Since this is called Just Chatting you must realize that there really isn’t anything really important that I am going to say. I ramble on about different things that may or may not be of interesting to you, sometimes I try to get responses from what I write but for the most part you just ignore me (smile) So once again this week I ramble on, hope you enjoy what I have to say.
Seeing what the weather was this week in the land where I am from, I can honestly say the weather here has been great. 27 below zero in Presque Isle, Me when it was in the 50’s here I would say we had some wonderful weather wouldn’t you?
On Monday evening I attended my grandson Todd’s Football Banquet. He was not recognized for an important award for his endeavors, someone who really earned it did. A lot of well deserved award were given and to burst your bubble on “jocks” there were two of the young men on that team that had over a 4.0. So you can do both! But I can honestly say he was the only one there that got “Granny Ott’s Star playerAward”! Lots of speeches, lots of awards but truly the only thing I learned from that Banquet was that all the coaches need to join Toastmasters! Diana got an award for all she done for the Mustang Quarterback club!
On Tuesday evening I joined my old group and played cards. I am sure I have mentioned it before but the game is called 99. I am usually lucky at cards but never seem to be at this game. Each time you lose you put in .25c (never lose more than .75c) I am usually the first one out and get to come home early but on Tuesday I hung in there and it took me almost two hours to lose my .75c! It is a fun game and they are a great group of gals.
On Wednesday I met Karen for lunch at the Amish restaurant in Rockledge. Really a neat place to eat and the side dish with your sandwich is ice cream. This week it was a good thing I followed and Ice Cream truck all the way to Cocoa it had some great pictures of ice cream (smile)
On Thursday I went with Nancy for her consultation for the lump they found in her breast. The Dr. said he was 80% sure that it was nothing but felt that there was enough question there that a biopsy should be done. Say your prayers for her it will be done on the 11th.
Got another special Birthday this coming week! Sweet Jeri will be celebrating her birthday on the 31! Hope you have one of the best ones yet!
Although this has been a busy week I really don’t have much to chat about. I anticipate another week just like this one we have just finished. I will be at the convention this weekend and I am sure it will not be a good weekend for any of our group.
Hope all goes well with you and yours this week and remember you must take good care of you! If you have a spare moment, drop me a line.
Lots of Love
a (aa) Mom`g`
