Dad’s hand is slowly healing but it will take awhile for it to be back like it was but he says he isn’t having any pain with it so that is good news. Liz (my sister Joyce’s daughter) sent him a digital picture frame for Christmas and he is having a great time figuring out just how to work it. He loves that kind of stuff it gives him a challenge. He is remarkable on the things that he can do with his computer and I am sure he will have this thing working like a top soon. Friend Bet has one in her family room and she has some of the most beautiful pictures rotating on it. Me I most likely could never figure it out!
Well I did all my cooking seven double loaves of bread, three large containers of cinnamon rolls, four banana nut loaves, four chocolate pies, one lemon, two apple and four pumpkin! I have finally admitted to my children that I will need some help with this in the future. I was so tired afterward that I knew that I had finally reached the point that I need some help with it. I love having them all at my house (really brings back fond memories) but when I am so tired I can’t enjoy it, I have to admit it. All promised to help but we will see how that goes next year. Don’t think that they really think that I am not getting any younger and I feel like I can do everything I did but I just can’t! Pat and David were terrific again, they jumped right in and really got things done. I hate to ask for help but with them they just did it. It was great!
Really don’t have a lot to say this week we all had a wonderful Christmas and I think everyone was happy. The only disappointing thing that happened was my camera (which I loved) died on Christmas day! Now the big decision what do I get to replace it. Rik guided me many years ago on my last camera and although it was quite expensive it was a great camera. Have gotten some suggestion but it can’t be too complicated for some one simple like me. My other concern will it work with my computer? The one I had took a 3 ½ disk and that worked great…do you think this is a good excuse for me to get a new computer?
Another disappointment was my Gizmo…every heard of it? It is a can opener, wonderful thing to have. It opens all sizes of can’s it is portable and WORKED like a charm. It was electric but could keep it charge for 24 hrs, great if the electric went off. Well it went to can opener heaven a couple days before Christmas. Christmas my regular can opener broke so we have a home without a can opener at this time, that will never do everyone needs a can opener
It bothered me so much about the Bible that I have ordered one for the lady at Baxley. Actually Bet told me I should quite complaining and get it so I done. She is going half on it with me. I guess I am more sensitive about that kind of thing that most because both sets of Grandparents were deep into their believe and they showed it. My Mom parents were Protestant and my Dad’s Catholic and I seen how important it was to them, so I think that is why it concerned me, so I have gotten that taken care of.
My dear friend Elaine is getting ready to have cataric surgery she is going for her Dr. visit New Year’s eve. Bill goes next Friday so I should have some news on his eyes next week.
Had my hair done yesterday and poor Nancy is a mess sneezing and sniffing. She has so many allergies and I think the fact that we have the red tide is not helping her either. She was just like a trooper even though she wasn’t feeling well she just kept going. She went down to Dad’s this week and cut his hair. Then they went out to lunch where Dad got his favorite Ruben sandwich. Bless her heart she has no sick days so if she doen’t work she doesn’t get paid. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.
I hope that you had a wonderful Christmas, we certainly had one here God has been good to us!
Got to get busy next week and get in my yard, there is so much to do.
I have called Torey in hopes he would like to make more money before returning to college but I have not heard from him. We are going to be lost with out him the times that he has come to help us out he was really great.
It will be a lunchon visit today to Dad’s, the college he graduated from is playing in the Liberty bowl today and he wants to watch it. Can you believe it, he never has watched football but this team he is interested in.
My prayer and wish for you is to have the very best of the New Year. We have so many blessing sometimes we over look them.
Oh and the other thing I wish especially for IAN (12) that he can get his cell phone!
Lots of Love
a (aa) Mom`g`
