Well another week has flown by and I hope all of you had a wonderful week. (Well maybe not wonderful but at least uneventful)
We have gotten some sprinkles of rain here and there but I read in the paper that we are getting a lot of rain, wonder why we aren't seeing it. My yard was left unattended this week, maybe pulled a weed or two but nothing really got attended to by me.

Dad is doing fine, still mowing his own lawn but he says he will know when he should stop. He tried a new general practitioner this week, because he really got feed up with his Dr. The appointment went well and both he and Lana like the Dr. So that is a good start.
Have not heard from anyone on how Aunt Ruby’s is doing. Carla please let us know we are all concerned about her.
Well I have had quite a busy week folk and I think you will agree with me. Monday evening I had my Brevard County Planning and Zoning meeting. One of the longest that I have attended since I have been reappointed to the board.
One of the items we had was were a recycling plant owned five acres and it was zoned for have business but some how years ago when it was rezoned 60 feet was left in the original zoning. The neighbors wanted us not to change the zoning because the business is so nosey but 60 feet won’t change the noise so it was past.
So just a hint if someone is putting a first time business in your area and you don’t mind that business insist that that is the only kind of business that will be in that area. Believe me there is a lot of difference in the noise from an electrical contractor and a recycling plant. The other (there were many) one I really couldn't understand the people not wanting were a hotel.
There are five hotels adjacent to 95 and this was just another one. You would think that this would really change their lives, they even said they would rather have a 7-11 there than a hotel. Good Lord this is high class hotel, and they acted like they were going to sell drugs out of it. (Don’t doubt that happens even in the best) but I was shocked I never envisioned a hotel like that while I was traveling, couldn't get over it and said so…
On Wednesday several of the people from the Church along with my friend Karen and myself met with the people in the County Manager’s office. The good thing that came out of this meeting was it was not only half of our fault (the church) but the County’s as well.
Hopefully we have fixed all the problems and when it is submitted again it will pass. This is just my opinion but I think most of the problem is with the contractor. He should have been able to work the majority of the problems out with out our help.
But, like I say it is just my opinion. We still have not settled the problem about the right away and I think we have decided if it comes down to getting not getting our permit because of it that we will asked for a special audience in front of the commissioners. The right away is not involved in the 1600 foot addition that we are asking for. So I guess you could say that part has not been settled but we are keeping a positive thought on it.
Want to wish Megan Adams a very happy 20th birthday on the 16th and the same goes to Casey Forbes who will be all of 30! Wish you the very best of Birthdays folks!!! Then on the 18th of September Sister Judy and her husband Greg will celebrate their 36 Wedding Anniversary! Congratulations to you both! Love ya
As I mentioned last week I attended Todd’s home game, and wore my new shirt. Got to tell you upfront those people just don’t appreciate my talent J All Diana could do was smile every time she looked at it. But that is OK; it did not discourage me I am still working on my next two shirts. One is almost done hopefully I can get the other one done before I go on my trip on the 24th.
By the way Todd’s team won the game last week, last night it was away again. Really thought about going but since I have to be out of her by 7:30 am this morning thought that maybe I would go next week which is also an away game.
On Thursday, I took my car in for an oil change and had a few things that I wanted taking care of from my trip. I hit 50,000 miles on Wednesday but did not think anything about it because my deal when I bought the car was I would have 80,000 mile warranty.
Well guess what I was not told at the time that is was not a Cadillac warranty but another one. And it doesn't cover bumper to bumper like the regular one does and of course this is going to an expensive fix. Can’t begin to tell you how upset I was and still am about this. When I explained to the service person that this was not pointed out to me she said I know you are not the first one to tell me this. Believe me I have learned a lesson on this one. Actually it is no one fault but my own I put it off until it was too late, now all I can do is complain.
I am really exited yesterday Bill had a window air conditioner put in my room, wow what a difference. It is wonderful believe me! You wonder why he gave in and did this? Well every night I would turn it down to 80 and would just be getting to sleep when it would become warm again. I started catching him turning it up to 90. I think he got tired of getting up so he decided that this would be one way that I could be comfortable and he could to. It is hard to believe but he really is cold, it is a battle all the time to keep the house livable because it makes him cold.
On another note about Bill the dentist went ahead and made him new teeth. He didn't wait for the VA to give permission and he says he doesn't care. If they pay him great but he just can’t see Bill having Bill go through that surgery. He agree’s that calcium deposits are the worse that he has ever seen but still thinks it is too much to put Bill through. Bill is quite please that he is getting teeth. The dentist even came over here one night this week to see if they fit him. Tuesday he is suppose to go for the final fitting at the dentist office and guess what another tooth broke off yesterday. But that is another saga of the story.
This morning I am off to Clean the Beach I have to be there at 8. It is part of the work the Federally Employed Women participate in. I will be getting another shirt. I keep saying that I am going to have a sale and get rid of all my volunteer shirts. After that I am off to Melbourne to take Dad to the Maine Connection. Hope all goes well and he see people that he knows.
Please take good care of yourself and let me hear from you. Have a great week. Just one more week before I am off Leaf Peeping.
Lots of Love a (aa) Mom & ~g~
