Well another week has flown by and here I sit trying to come up with something interesting to share with you! So here I sat rambling again, hope that you have had a wonderful week and all is well with you.

Don't know how the weather is where you are but it is darn hot here, hasn't made an attempt to cool down so it really makes it hard working out side in the yard. I try to go out as early as seven if possible and I seem to be making some progress on the weeds but as you know you just have to keep at it.

On Wednesday I and another representative from the Federally Employed Women attended a meeting at the local community college. Basically the meeting is about what needs to be added to the coursed that the college offers. One of the representatives that were there pointed out that when the shuttle concludes there will be 3,500 people that will be laid off. That certainly changed the mood of the meeting and the general character of what was being said. That should be quite a shock to Brevard County and certainly will take the county back to the 60's I am sure.

On Thursday morning I had my general six month check at my GP. One of the things that had concerned me is I seem to be losing some of my hearing. I can hear fine when people talk in a normal tone but if they whisper…forget it half the time I don't hear them. So I asked him if he could check it. Well it seems I have what he called high velocity hearing loss. He told me that anyone that he had known had tried to get it corrected, the hearing aids don't work and that they cost $10,000 each. I told him well I would hate to miss a secret but I think I can stand missing it at that price. He laughed and said it not the secrets that you have to worry about it are the people that talk about you behind your back. So I guess from this stand point I will just have to keep telling people I am sorry I didn't hear what you said!

Well Bill had me quite worried; he was talking about going to Maryland the end of the month. I just couldn't understand him wanting to go because he can't even go to Orlando by himself. But truthfully I kept thinking he would back out of it somehow. He had me purchase a cell phone for him so he would be set for emergencies and he was ready to go. But yesterday he got a call from his friend in Maryland and he is going to have heart surgery so Bill has canceled his trip. I wonder how often he will use that cell phone.

Sister Helen will be off to NM next week. She is becoming quite a traveler. I myself have made plans to return to Maine in late Sept so I can become a Leaf Peeper. Helen is going to pick me up in Manchester, we are going to spend some time at Sister Judy's in NJ and then back to Maine to see Joyce and family. And then there will be some side trips as well. We will have plenty of time because we are both retired. Talking about traveling Pat and Dave are going to Michigan in Oct.

Birthday's we have Birthday's well we have one birthday this week nephew Dean will celebrate his 41'st birthday on Friday. Gosh I can't believe that he is that age, time sure flies don’t it. Hope you have a wonderful birthday!

I am so proud of Pat and Dave they both have lost over 50 pounds and continue to do well. Lana has decided on an alternate way to lose weight and we very pleased with her decision.

Can't begin to tell you how happy I am that Sheri came over and fixed my computer. It is wonderful to have it back working again; I never will be able to thank her enough!

Well Diana called me and reminded me it was time to put a message in the football program for Todd, foot ball starts soon. What a time I had coming up with just the right message, don't want to be too mushy but wanted it to have meaning. I had hoped someone could help me with it but for once no one had a suggestion so I had to do it myself! Talking about football his first home game is in a couple of weeks and I want to have a special shirt to wear to the games. Does anyone know how to transfer a picture onto a shirt? Got to get busy and do that, I have become quite a procrastinator!
