July 7, 2007

Good morning all hope that you have had a wonderful week! Have been working out in my yard when I can and boy are my fingers sore! I read somewhere the other day if you are pulling weeds and they come up easy it is a valuable plant and I believe that is so! I have one spot in my yard that I have neglected for a long time.

So, I have really been at it this week! We have been lucky to get some rain, gosh we needed it. Diana has been checking the temperatures where we are going on our trip and can not get over the difference in them. Just want to share some roses from my garden; I take roses like these to Nancy at the shop each week. She loves them and her clients really enjoy them.

I did want to mention that I had not given Pat and David enough credit for the pounds that they have lost. I said it was 30 and now I learn that it is well over 40! You go guys!

Of course the most exciting thing that has happened this week is Lisa and Roy gave birth to Charlie Eleanor Silvia on Judy’s birthday at 6:47 am (Pacific Time) she is 19 inches long and weighted in at 7 lbs 8 oz. in San Diego, Ca. Grandmother Helen is on hand to help in anyway possible!

A very Happy Birthday to daughter Nancy (who will also be 21) on Friday the 13th! She sure wasn’t bad luck for us; she is a blessing in many ways!

Well I took Cocoa to get groomed on Thursday, gosh she needed it, and she looked like a ragamuffin! Anyway, took her to the groomer’s, went to the bank, Wal-Mart, BJ’s and Home Depot, just to name a few places I went. Not that you care where I went BUT when I got home I noticed I had my top inside out the whole time! People are so nice to Senior Citizens that have lost their minds! Felt like and absolute fool, but I guess I will try harder next time!

Dad has had a week, yesterday he had a colonoscopy when I talked to him on Thursday evening he said he was so hungry that he could eat a board! Cisco had a little episode this week but is now doing well. Last week I bought the stuff that Dan recommended for Dad’s lawn to kill the ticks and he went down on Sunday and applied it! Hopefully that will take care of the ticks and Cisco will be tick free.

Lana leaves on her trip on the 11th heading north to Maine for her Class Reunion, she will be just a head of me the whole trip or most of it anyway! I am getting excited about it, Nancy and I leave on Friday the 13th. I think I have most everything ready for the trip but have a few days to check it out.

Talking about the trip, I got my last set of maps like I mentioned before I wish they would just let you tell them what route you would like to take instead of the places you want to go. The part from Judy’s in NJ was a joke…they mapped me to Tarrytown, and White Plans (I wanted to go from there to the MA turnpike) but no, the routed me back down to pick up 84 through CT. Anyway I was complaining about that to a friend at church last Sunday and he said he could do that for me…so he has done a trip tike for me, I will be getting it Sunday. I know I have done this many times but like to have a reference.

This will be the last Just Chatting for the month of July, hope you have a great month! Take good care of yourself and the ones you love! Both Lana and I will be back to help Dad celebrate his 90th birthday on the 31st.

Lots of Love
a (aa) Mom & ~g~
