First of all I want to send my very best wishes to Sister Joyce who will be celebrating her birthday tomorrow. Hope you have the best of birthdays dear Joyce!
Diana dog Rusty pulled a great one this week. Krista had made brownies and put them on the back of the stove. Out of the way right? No way somehow that dog pulled the prex dish off the stove and broke it into little pieces. He had to spend the night at the Vet because he cut his tongue and it needed stitches.
Well Bet’s arm is on the mend and she brought me back a beautiful angel from Mexico. It always amazes me the amount of angels I have and the only ones that I have double of are the kissing angels. If I were Bet I don’t think I would want to go back to Mexico again. After they got home they found out that someone had made a copy of their credit card and spent over $18,000. They will not have to pay it but it is a mess to get cleared up.
I finally got my curtains up in the Florida room, and they look great. Hopefully it will be a long time before I have to replace them again.
Talked to Aunt Joyce and the test did not reveal anything about Uncle Omar and why he is feeling the way he is. That is so sad, I would hate to be feeling like he is and no one can find out what is causing it. Oh, John, when is their anniversary I know that it is in December and you all are going to celebrate it in August but what is the date in December?

What a great launch we had yesterday, and we went right on time. Dad said he thought that it was the best one that he had ever seen. For those of you that get the launch envelopes/patches there is a name left off, really not left off he joined the group late and his name is not on them. Don’t know if they will issue another one or not if they do I will get them for you. But at this time this is all they have to offer.
Truly enjoyed working at the Press site this time, of course I always do. In case you are wondering what I do out there, I answer the phones and the questions that they asked are always interesting. For instance they asked what the astronauts had for their last meal. (which was breakfast by the way) and When was the last time we launched on schedule (Columbia, 2003) and when was the last time we delayed because of alternate landing sites were unavailable weather mostly (2/02).
Most of the calls are from news stations all over the world but a good deal of them are from John Q public. One of the calls I received was from a lady in Kentucky that wanted to have an event of KSC in Orlando. I told her that KSC was not in Orlando four times. Each time she would thank me and call right back hoping to get someone in Orlando at KSC. I don’t think I ever convinced her that KSC was not in Orlando.
Krista has a baby sitting job, she and a friend are sharing the job. The lady they are baby sitting for works for the Post Office. She works three days and her friend works three days (I believe) they are making $50 a day. Can you believe that, I remember when I used to get $00.25 cents an hour!
Nancy is house sitting and that also pays pretty well. Now I think that is a job I could go for.
Well the handle on my dish washer went this week; it had worked great except it was hard to open the door. Well it isn’t hard any more because it broke. The part will not be in until Wednesday so I am stuck doing one of my favorite jobs until then.
