May 26, 2007

Good morning all, what a windy week it has been here in Coastal Florida. It has certainly has been cooler than it would have been if not for the wind. I put off spaying my plants for bugs because of the wind but could not wait any longer, just have to spray them wind and all. Not a lot to talk about today and not one picture to share with you. So I will do what I do best …..Ramble!

I would like to wish a very Happy Birthday to dear Greg, another one who is 21 today but feels much older. Have the Happiest Greg!

Last Saturday was the second race of the Triple Crown. Although I had given myself several reminders I had forgotten about it. But, it turned out fine; we went out to eat and then hurried home to watch the race. The horses are beautiful but I hate to watch them I am concerned one will get hurt again! But nothing major happen, and Dad just loves to watch them no favorites he just like to watch the race!

Well my next chore in my yard is to move the fire place logs that have been up against the fence for at least 5 or more years. Bill always planted his tomatoes in that area but this spring he has planted them in a pot and he is growing them on the porch. (Don’t know how many tomatoes he will get but the plants have almost reached the ceiling). Anyway, went to Rockledge Gardens and seen some beautiful flowering plants and want to plant them there before it gets too hot. So we will see how long it will take me to move them.

On Sunday I went to Torey’s graduation party that was held at his grandmothers. Torey is my granddaughter Krista boyfriend. Anyway, I was surprised to learn that Torey is a twin, can’t say that he and his brother look a lot a like but they are both very nice looking boys. I think it is something when I have my grandchildren’s grad party her but this grandmother had three that graduated last weekend!

Which reminds me of a funny I was in the bank and a lady friend that I use to grey lady with was there…She started off by asking how my children were and I said “forget about them I have four wonderful grandchildren!” Her reply was “I have 17 and that is why my husband is still working!” Guess you had to be there, but I thought that it was quite funny!

On Monday I attended the Local Planning agency meeting. Found it to be quite interesting but a short meeting. We recommended a height limit for Merritt Island of 35 ft, which I was very pleased to see we needed to do that before they were allowed to build the Condo’s on the water. We had several other things, but as I said I think the meeting lasted 52 minutes.

Dad had his physical and all is well with him. He got his shot for shingles and the only thing that remains is that wonderful colon thing that everyone enjoys! He also got his driver’s license that is good for six years!

Thursday morning right after I sent out my Space Pictures, my monitor on my computer died! It just made me sick; seems my computer if falling apart. So I called Lana and told her about the monitor and she said she and Shari would be up! (If you remember Shari is the one that preformed magic on my pc before) When she arrived she was quite confident of what was wrong with it, because she was carrying a new monitor!

She checked out my monitor, unhooked and did the stuff they do trying to fix it but it was dead. I was quite upset but Lana convinced me she was just lending me this monitor until I get a new computer (who knows when that will be if it keeps falling apart I will have a new one.) But here I am looking at a 19’ screen and I feel like I am watching TV! What a difference a couple of inches make. What would I do without my sisters?

Was so happy I was able to get Nancy’s flight home from Liz’s for $52. It is a direct flight out of Manchester on Southwest. Now we (Lana) are trying to get a good flight for Diana into Maine for her trip up. Could get the same deal into Manchester but Liz will not be home. We are slowly getting all the trips in line for the summer…Judy is coming down here, Helen is going out for the birth of her grandchild and me and mine are figuring out just how we are going to make our trip!

I got a nice note from Sue about her trip to Oregon to visit Linda. She says they had a wonderful visit and got to eat some great meals. She also mentioned how beautiful it is where Linda lives.

Helen is up in Presque Isle this weekend and plans to visit and place flowers on the graves. She is planning on taking Aunt Ruby on her journey, I am sure she will enjoy that.

Well I hope that you all have a wonderful week and that this has found you in good health! Have a safe Memorial Day weekend!

Lots of Love
a (aa) Mom & ~g~
