March 3, 2007

Good morning all hope that you have had a wonderful week! The weather here has been great and I think it was because Joyce was here for her visit so it wanted to show off. Yesterday although it was cloudy the temperature hit 86 so it looks like we are well on our way to summer already.

When I went to Dad’s last week the first thing that he pointed out to me was Massage! I will apologize to you as I did for him and say I think I did very well considering I didn’t get to bed until after 12 on Friday evening and wrote that at 6 so I think missing that I spelled that incorrectly is excusable. J Someone asked where we got that wonderful treatment and it was at Labella’s right here on N. Merritt Island. Still highly recommend them and you for a massage or message which ever you prefer J

Last Saturday Joyce, Dad and I had dinner at Chowder’s by the causeway. It was in the 70’s, but Dad thought it was a little to cool to eat outside. So we had a lovely dinner inside.

Dad had been having some dizzy spells so Joyce took him to the Dr. on Monday. It seems the only thing wrong with him was he needed his ears cleaned. The Dr. did it right there in the office, didn’t know they still did that. He says he feels fine now.

Another thing I did last week was I forgot to include the birthdays and Anniversaries. Chris and Lynn celebrated their 23 Anniversary last weekend! Hope it was a wonderful day! Plus yesterday was Patrick Brennan’s 25th birthday; Pat is Bill’s daughter Dawn’s son which makes him my grandson! He is a wonderful young man and a very handsome man at that! Hope it was a great birthday! Now for the coming week…….Chris Adams will celebrate his birthday on Monday, 21 Chris? Hope you have a wonderful Birthday and then from another family all together Jack Adams will celebrate his birthday on Wednesday! Happy Birthday Jack! Plus Ann sent me a note telling me that she has become a grandmother to Erin Mary Ann Rose was born to Jennifer and John Rose on 02/27/07 at 9:09 PM. She is 7 lb 11 oz and 19 3/4", she has brown hair and we think dark blue eyes. She was born on Ann Mom’s birthday (Mary Ann) and she is beautiful. She was born with two teeth!

On Monday I attended the Local Planning Agency meeting at Viera. The meeting lasted 2 1/2 hours. Mostly we worked on new docks and sea walls. I am sure someone will have a fit about it before it gets final passage. We also passed a higher fee for site building. Of course the dept is in the hole and asked for cost raises but some of our members just couldn’t vote for additional fees. Maybe it will slow down the building. It was passed.

On Tuesday I took Bill to the VA in Orlando for a 10’oclock appointment. We left here at 8:45 which should have given us plenty of time but the traffic was so bad in Orlando it was stop and go. He was 15 minutes late but the assured us there would be no problem. Well shortly before 12 they admitted that there was no way that the Dr. could see him today. It seems that several of the appointments were also late and the Dr. was backed up so they had to reschedule us. I can assure you that Bill was not happy; he thinks Orlando is so far away! So this Tuesday we go back, he is scheduled for minor surgery on his skin cancer.

On Wednesday & Thursday the Federally Employed women put on their annual training session in Cocoa Beach. Both turned out to be very long days I had to be there by 7, but all went well.

I got a call from my niece Lisa who lives in CA. She is about 6 months pregnant and is expecting a daughter; she plans to name her after her father who was called Charlie. At first I thought that was strange, but we have a lady in my church who is has the name George so I can truly understand Charlie. She says all is going well with the pregnancy.

On Thursday morning I took Joyce to the airport, her flight left at 7:50 am so we left here at 5. She arrived safely home; it was sure great having her!

We are all so thankful that Dan is in remission but he leaves tomorrow for Little Rock for a check up. I am sure all your prayers go with him.

Hope all is well with you, Please take good care of yourself!

Lots of Love,
a (aa) Mom & ~g~
