Good morning to you what a wonderful week this has been, a little boring but still a very nice week. I worked in the yard and got some major stuff done, which pleases me to no end. We have such a big yard, it is a constant thing just to keep up with it. The fact remains some of it I have not been constant on so there is always work to do and with the weather so nice I was challenged to get to it.
Dad went to the Doctor this week for his leg and it is healing properly. He is feeling well and continues to ride his bike. He mowed his front lawn last Saturday and William came the next day and finished it for him.
Last Saturday evening Dad and I ate at Chowder’s. We had eaten there before but it had been quite sometime ago. It is a really nice place (Seafood), we ate on the deck and it turned out to be quite a treat. Dad noticed right away that there was a young man eating there that didn’t have shoes on. I think that offended him to start with but soon the young man got up walk out to the pier where he had his boat tied up. After shedding his shirt, he promptly took a swim, then started his boat and slowly drove off. It was like a floor show. The food was good and the entrainment was good J
Last Sunday I joined some old friends from work and went up to New Smyma for dinner with other friends. We all use to work together in Payloads and we have some happy memories from the work itself as well as each other. It is always great to see them and we try to get together at least once a month or so.
Watched a good movie this week it was called the Amati Girls staring Cloris Leachman (as well as many other well known star’s) But it got me to thinking in the movie she wanted to be ready for when she died. She picked out her own casket, had her daughter make her a dress that she would look good in, she wanted to make it easier on her family when she died. I was wondering how many of us are prepared for that. I pity my poor children having to go through all the crap that I have kept over the years because I might need it or just plain for the memories. I have made a small move on this though I am going to see a lawyer on Monday about estate planning. Do you have a will? Well neither of us have a will, and Bill has the attitude oh well if he dies it is mine. But I want to see it in writing. I promised myself I would get this done in January, so it is a step forward, but not even thinking about cleaning out those closets, maybe that will be next.
Nancy and her friend did quite well at their garage sale last Saturday, they took in $1,400. As I had mentioned they had the garage sale to raise money for a friend who is also a beautician who has breast cancer. Right now she is in ICU, please remember Judy in your prayers.
Yesterday I took Bill to Orlando to the VA to see the dermatologist.
About every six weeks or so he has to have more skin cancer burnt off his face, this time no burning but he is schedule for surgery in February to remove a spot on his face.. He hates to go over there by himself; he gets confused and gets lost sometimes. So I am the designated driver for those trips.
Yesterday, Nancy went down to visit with Dad (he has his own personal hair stylist you know). He really enjoyed her visit and they went out to lunch a great time was had by all.
Tomorrow I am going to a Deanery meeting in Melbourne; it is preface for the annual Central Florida Episcopal Convention that will be held the end of this month on the 27th. I have several things to go to this week so I won’t get as much yard work done as I would like.
What is happening with the weather up north? No snow in NJ Sue reports and they have had very little snow where my sisters live in Maine.
Hope you and yours have a great week
Lots of Love,
a (aa) Mom & ~g~
