No man, for any considerable period, can wear one face to himself and another to the multitude, without finally getting bewildered as to which one is true. - Nathaniel Hawthorne
Good morning everyone, hope that you have had a great week! I understand that many of you had a snowy Easter, sorry about that. My friend the Boaz's had plenty in my home town. It was beautiful here, in fact this week has been quite warm.
Joyce is working her butt off in the House of Rep in Maine. She doesn't have much of a life other than that. She is constantly working on Bills that should and should not pass. She is very dedicated to her office. Once of the items she brought up this week on FB wanting everyone's opinion on attendance of out legislators'. Got to say I had not really thought of it before. One of the things that is proposed is if they miss so many meetings, they would be given notice, if they miss so many more they would be out. I have never thought about that, how do you feel? You elect them to represent you and they don't go to meetings? I think one of the solutions to that would be once a month published in the paper their attendance. Wouldn't have to be concerned about my sister she has a bad knee and she keeps putting it off to serve the people.
Love to share these pictures. Here is auGUSt eating sweet potatoes.
What a charmer he is!
Since I have heard so much from all of you this is my news for the week!
Took a nap last Sat., and when I got up there was beautiful Easter Lilly on the back porch. I asked Nancy if she had gotten it for me and she said no. But wished she would have thought of it. Then of we went to meet the Spell's for dinner. It was great fun and the food was great. Then they bought out a cake that Diana had gotten at Publix. Very nice. Of course there was no way we could eat it all so we bought it home. When Nancy went to put the cake in the frig, guess what? There was one just like already there. Had a message from Dawn on the phone. She was here while I took my nap and left them for me. Isn't that nice! So I had plenty of sweet stuff this week.
On Monday my pool guy called and said they would be here on Tuesday. They emptied the pool and said it needed a couple of day's to dry. So they were back hereon Thursday, while Diana took me to Gainsville and took of about 30 coats of paint! They are suppose to be back tomorrow and fill the cement holes and get ready to finish it on Monday. Thankful for that.
On Tuesday, I met my cousin Elaine for lunch. Always nice to see her and she caught me up on Uncle Omar & Aunt Joyce. By the way her new twin granddaughters are beautiful!
Nancy found out her reconstruction surgery will be on the 17th. She is not looking forward to it. One of the things they will be doing is bringing skin of her back to the front. Ouch!! I am really concerned about her surgery because I have become useless. Just have to pray that all will work out this time.
I don't know if I mentioned it or not but my grandson Todd attended UPS school last week. They didn't make it easy for them. They had to drive and old stick shift in Orlando. He has decided he doesn't want to live in Orlando. :)
Don't tell him, but he is a handsome young man~
Isn't he handsome! Great nephew Alex who will soon be graduating from the U of New Hampshire. He will soon be in the job market. Watch out for him, he will be going somewhere!
I have had quite a time with the pictures I have put here I hope they come out.
Went to Gainsville on Thursday and did my walking eco. It seemed like it turned out ok, but who knows
Looking forward to today, Dave & Pat are coming over to take me to lunch.
Remember no one loves you like you do! So take really good care of you!Have a great week! Please stay healthy!Lots of Lovea (aa) g'
