If you can dream it, you can achieve it. You will get all that you want in this life If you help enough other people get what they want. Zig Ziegler
Well here I am again, hope that you have had a wonderful two weeks!
Got to say it really was an enjoyable week in Maine! I really feel bad that I couldn't stay longer, it was that great!
Diana & I flew into Manchester, NH, and spent the night at my niece Liz & husband Rik's house. Don't asked me what we ate, but it was delicious but of course I can tell you the dessert! Strawberry Rhubarb pie or Strawberry short cake...had a small piece of both! Yum Yum! Very good!
On Wednesday we drove to Bangor, where we met Lana. It was so nice to see her and Shari. But poor Shari was still flustered from her flight. Before she boarded the plane in NY they really gave her a hard time, They practally had her strip search and that was not pleasant.
Tuesday and Wed, were the only days we got rain.
On Thursday we headed for Aroostook County! Got to say it was wonderful to be home! All those rolling hills and fields and fields of potato's in blossom. It felt great to be there. Thursday night was Helen's class reunion and Judy went with her. They both had a great time.
At 10:00 on Friday, we all met at the cemetery for Dad's servers. Most all of the immediate family was there and I am sure that would have pleased him. It was a nice service and all went well. After that we did the cemetery tour. The only one we missed was Grampy & Grammy Adams and we would not been able to get there anyway the road is still washed out from the ice in the river.
After that we all went to lunch together in town. It was so nice to have everyone there. Afterwards we did a little tour of my home town and then off to the Green Ridge Cemetery to put flowers on Clyde's grave.
That night a dinner we were missing both Joyce & Jeff as well as Judy and Greg. They were attending their class reunion. We missed them but we had all the entertainment that we needed. Kyle & Erica had Eva with them and what a wonderful beautiful child! Not only is she beautiful, she has the most beautiful eye's!
Many of you may have seen this picture on face book, put I thought I would share this potato field with you.
On Saturday we were all up and on the go to the annual Potato Blossom Parade in my home town. That Judy takes care of us old people :) she brought chair's for Helen & I. Everyone was quite warm, but I felt great! It wasn't 90 and all the humidity.
Sunday we were off to St. Paul's were we used to attend with our parents. Things have changed a lot there but it was great to be back.
Then of to Joyce & Jeff's in Calais. What a wonderful host they are. First Jeff to William down to Lubec to see the light house and all the scenery there. He was so pleased!
Just had to prove I did smile...here are the five sisters together...
Joyce & Jeff has really done a lot of work on their house, not that it wasn't nice before but you know how that goes we always want to improve what we have. Beautiful job!
Then Diana and I were off to NH again and home on Tuesday. Would have loved to stay longer everything was so pleasant but it was a good thing I came home. Before I left I fixed boiled chicken and carrots for Cocoa and froze it. All they had to do is feed her like I told them. I hardly got home and Bill told me how much she liked Chicken noodle soup! Not good for a dog with diabetes. Her whole schedule was off, but she is now back on track.
On Wed, I took Bill to the VA for his teeth. He has to have them all pulled. He has a growth in his mouth and they are not sure what they are going to do with them.
On Friday was Baxley day. Lori and Jan does such a great job shopping for them. When we got there the cupboard was bare as usual. The good Lord must be helping up because each month we get enough money to fill up the empty cupboard.
Diana and I had a great time in NH and Maine and we want to thank everyone for making it possible, including the dogs!
Special prayers for the Valentine family this week as he undergoes surgery!
Remember no one loves you like you do! So take really good care of you! Have a great week!
Lots of Love
a (aa) g~
