In his book, Man's Search for Meaning, Viktor Frankl wrote these amazing words:
"We who lived in the concentration camps can remember the men who walked through the huts comforting others, giving away their last pieces of bread. They may have been few in number, but they offer sufficient proof that everything can be taken from a man but one thing: The last of his freedoms is to choose his own attitude in any given set of circumstances---to choose one's own way". Thanks for sending this Gloria!
Good morning all, hope that you had a great week. According to the calendar , it is spring but I think it is summer already here in Fl. Lots of snow up north. My friend Letty sent me these from northern Maine.. how about this for snow

Then there is this one from my sister Helen's home in Central Maine
On the other hand my azaleas are in bloom
Do you ever watch Dr. Oz? I don't regularly but the other night I was flipping thru the channels ( I am great at that) and he was talking about making yourself look 10 years younger...did you watch it? Well just in case you didn't I am going to pass some of the info on to you! Now the Dr's who recommended these are highly paid plastic surgeons...for wrinkles he recommended L'Oreal Revitalizer it is $16.00 and he said it is temporary but work the same as a face lift. He recommended Brazilian Peel for sun spots and skin damaged by the sun. It runs $20. To help break down the fat in your thighs it was recommended that you take 50 mg of Soy Isoglavones a day, and to help your memory (I plan on getting this one for sure) Sage gel tablets 330 mg a day. He said you could take the liquid but it was the worse tasting stuff ever so recommended the tablets. Don't know if you are interested in this, but thought I would pass it on anyway. There was also info on under your eyes and lips, if you are interested I will send it to you. Another thing he pointed out is you should always take your milk from the back of the group. The ones in front have much warmer temps and don't last as long.
Got your income tax done as yet? Sorry to say each year I say I am going to get busy and do it right away, but so far I haven't !
Saturday evening Judy & Greg, Dad and I had dinner at Long Horn. We did call ahead but I am not sure that it really cut down on our wait time. But all went well and we enjoyed our meal.
Diana is quite pleased ( not a s pleased as she will be if she sells them) she has gotten several calls on the corvette and since Judy has been driving her other car with the for sale sign it it several calls on that one. Hopefully by next week they will be sold!
Jessica & Eloise arrived safely on Tuesday. Dad just loves that Eloise, she sits on a blanket in front of him and he talks to her and she laughs and giggles. He says she is a perfect baby, she is happy and never cries. Jess says in that respect it is good he doesn't hear very well.
On Wednesday, I took Dad to the Dr. The health nurse has quit coming because Medicare thinks there is nothing more they can do for him. It seems they have a new way of doing a skin graph and his Dr. now thinks we should try it. If it doesn't work then he will have to have a skin graph and that would mean surgery so.....Lana had taken him to the wound center in Feb. They had a long wait even though they had an appointment. When she check to see how much longer it would be it would have been another hour so she left with Dad. Way to long for a person his age to wait. She has been told that it the way it is no matter what time your appointment is. Dad's Dr. suggested that we make the appointment for the first appointment of the day. It seems this Dr that does this procedure is only there on Monday. Bless her heart Lana gives her all and takes Dad to his appointments even when she has worked all night. She always works week-ends so this is my call this time. I called and made the appointment and was very specific about him waiting and that we would like the very first appointment of the day! His appointment is on Monday the 12th and there better not be a long wait for this one!
Got to say that Eloise is a beautiful baby. Spoiled, but a sweetheart! Jess & Cascey I know are very proud of her....not to mention her grandparents! It won't be long before she will be walking and then look out!
Thursday was somewhat of a busy day, started out by going to get Sally some treats at the Barn supply place, then on to BJ's to pick up meatballs, (we have had another death at church) then to Publix to pick up my med's as well as groceries. Got to say every since I complained about them being out of carrots they always have plenty of them. At 4 I went to Diana's to meet up with the gang and to see Judy, Jess and Eloise. It was a big hit for every one! After that I was off to the barn to pick up hay for Sally. I have always thought that 5:30 was a good time to do that but guess what is it a busy time at the barn and they are giving riding lesson etc. So now I will go in the middle of the afternoon to pick it up.
That Sally is spoiled also, I was cutting palm fronts next to the road and she seen me. She would not shut up until I went and gave her a treat. Once you start something....
I am sorry to say I forgot my own grandson birthday! Pat I am so sorry, yesterday was his birthday. Hope it was a good one...your card is in the mail! Now on to the confusing part of the birthday's. Want to wish Chris Adams (Clyde's nephew) a very happy birthday on Monday, Then a very happy birthday to Jack Adams (my uncle Omar son) to see why it is confusing..My uncle son Chris will celebrate his birthday next Sat. So when I wish him a happy birthday next week you will see why. Hope you all have a great day!
Last night Diana and I went to see "That means war". It was a very funny movie. Always enjoy a good laugh.
Hope you have a wonderful week, and remember no one loves you like you do!
