The person who removes a mountain begins by carrying away small stones.

Good morning all, hope that you have had a wonderful week. The weather here has been just perfect not to hot or cold. It is Wonderful when you have to do all that baking to have the temp just right!
As I told you last week I was honored to serve as one of the lay people to pick a new Bishop for Central Florida. We were on the road to Orlando by 7:45 and got home about 3 PM. Not as long as I had thought it would be. It took four rounds of voting before the new bishop was chosen. It looked like from the very beginning that Rev. Gregory O. Brewer would be elected and he was. I hope and pray that he will be the one that puts us all back on track but you never know. In all honesty he never got my vote...but pray it will work out.
Diana & I traded visiting days with Dad, she went on Sat. and I went on Sunday. She always takes the tv guide to him from the paper and I forgot all about it. Of course he remembered it, Thankfully Lana got a paper so he could have it. Of to Longhorns we went and he really enjoyed his meal. Which is always a blessing I will tell you! We are basically down to two restaurants that he will go to each week I just hope my breath that nothing happens that he will take that place of the list. Actually he is doing quite well health wise, but recently he seems depressed. I would love to have him come here and have Thanksgiving with us but he won't do it...Every Holiday is just another day for him (he says)....nothing special he says. But Lana fixed him a turkey dinner so he wasn't left out completely.
Monday was my day of rest before all the cooking began. On Tuesday I made 10 double loaves of bread, 4 large banana nut bread and two large pans of cinnamon rolls. Full day!
On Wednesday morning Nancy called and had her bad news, her test results was positive. Needless to say that is not a good thing especially since she doesn't have health insurance. I don't know which made her more depressed the fact that it was positive or the fact she had no health insurance. And of course also she will lose work, how will she make her payments. I am trying to help her think positive about this whole thing, it will work out I am just sure of it.
Also on Wed., morning I cooked those apple pies I told you about. They came out get! Highly recommend it to you in the future if somehow you come upon a stash of apples.
Then, off to Dad's I went. By the time I got there Lana had made sure he had his shower, the nurse came and changed his bandage and he was all set for my visit. I took him a sub for lunch and he loved it, or at least he seemed like he did he ate it all. Nice visit, but he had the TV on all the time.
Back home I finished up my pies, 4 pumpkin, 1 lemon, 1 cherry and 4 choc. Believe me it was a long day. But everything looked great and I was glad I got it done.
Thursday morning bright and early Pat & Dave arrived. As usual Dave took over. I tell you he is a busy man, he doesn't rest he has to get everything done and he won't let me do anything. Believe me I appreciate that because at this time I was tried. Most all the family was here and it was great to have them. I love that time of year because it brings back memories when they were all home. We had some tears, but for the most part all went well!
Poor Stacey she had her new IPhone stolen off her desk at work...no she didn't have the find it thing on it.
Thanksgiving Day Helen was home alone like Dad, but she says she is fine with that. By the way she is doing great with her new knee replacement! Judy & Greg was in MA with the family for the big day. Joyce & Jeff was home alone so they volunteered to feed the homeless. So what & where did you spend the big day?
Want to wish Ann a very Happy Birthday tomorrow, hope you have a wonderful Birthday!!
Well Dancing with the Stars is over until March, Dad will have a hard time finding something he likes to watch. Were you happy with the winner? The last four couples I thought were very good, didn't matter who won.
Yesterday was pretty much like Monday, my day of rest. Believe me I needed it. Did arrange to get a bale of hay for Sally, I know she will love it.
Nest week plans to be another busy one for me, On Monday, Bill is finally having his surgery on his ear, they say he will be in there four hours! Hope and pray it comes out well! On Tuesday, it is time for me to have another shot in my eye, Wednesday morning Diana & I will go with Nancy to the surgeon to find out what will happen there, after that off to Dad's. And that is just until Wed, I am sure the rest of the week will be the same.
So I guess that's it for this week hope you have a wonderful week and remember no one loves you like you do.
Lot's of Love,
