"Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind"   Theodor Seuss Geisel  (Dr. Seuss ) American Writer and Cartoonist 1994-1991

I always end my notes to you with a quote and I always do a lot of reserch to find just the right quote and I thought you read them but to my dismay lasts week's I thought it was a perfect quote and thought most of you would get a kick out of it but found no one reads the quotes.  So this week I am starting my note to you with the quote...

Last Saturday, Dad and I had our dinner at Olive Garden.  He really likes the Olive Garden because "it's a family place".  But this week it was exceptional for him his Lasagna had more meat and it was so good he took the left overs home with him.  That is something for Dad he doesn't believe in that.

I mentioned last week about the 16,000 acre fire that we had (still smoldering) in north Brevard.  It was called the Iron Horse fire.  You will never guess where it got it's name?  According to the Florida Division of Forestry, a supervisor named the fire "Iron Horse" after a popular Bike Week bar in Ormond Beach. (Of course it was Bike week)

Want to wish the best of birthdays to Jennifer Paige on the 12th!  William Paige on the 13th and Stephene Boyd on the 15th.  A very Happy Anniversary to Dean & Jerri on the 16th.

Niece Liz and family just got back from a cruise with thee Royal Caribbean on the world's larges ship (for now they say)  They had a wonderful time, they shared lots of pictures but liked this one best!

On Monday evening I had my Planning & Zoning meeting we only had two items on the docket and one of them was delayed until next month.  But found the one item we had very interesting.  It was for an assisted living facility right on the beach side.  The neighbors were very much against it for one reason they did not have enough parking for all 18 residents that they would have there and of course it was not compatible with all the condo's that are already there.  But the interesting thing that I found out that 90% of the people that live there would be ambulatory.    Did you know that?

On Tuesday, Bill Dr's appointment was canceled because he would be getting a complete physical on Thursday.    So off to Dad's I went for my week day visit.  He was complaining about his hip hurting him and he didn't know why.  I asked him if he fell and he told me no.  I wasn't too concerned because he didn't seem to be in too much pain.  There was no pain on Wed, but on Thursday evening he was in a lot of pain.  Lana is trying to get him into the Dr and hope she is successful hate to see what this weekend could bring if he doesn't see someone.

On Wednesday I worked the final landing of Discovery.  We had a beautiful landing and all was fine.  I am so pleased that I have been able to participate in this great program.  It is a sad time that it is all coming to and end.

Thursday afternoon took Bill for his physical at the VA.  It turns out his sodium level is border line, it will depend on the anesthesiologist if they will do the surgery.  If it isn't ok on the 24th he may have to live with the cyst and just have it drained.

Thursday evening I had one of the greatest thrills of my life. I worked roll out of Endeavor and for the first time I was in the VAB where they put it together and roll it out.  I can't think of the right word to describe it...it was awesome, marvelous and totally awe struck.
From the top of the stack..

to the 5th floor

It takes the vehicle 20 minutes just to clear the building...what a thrill!

The weather here has been a mixed bag, Some has been very nice getting us ready for spring, then hard rain and back again to cooler weather.

David has sent me some great photo's that I would like to share with you...Busy beavers...

In the spring...

And to follow that, I told you  last week about the racoon that made a home in Diana & Dan's attaic ....and the fact that they had caught the Mom but the babies were still up there.  Well the other night Krista came home from work and heard something in the garage, so she woke up Diana.  When she opened the door there were two baby racoon's just having a tug of war with a piece of bungie cord.  They watered them and feed them and then put the dog crate together and tried to get them to go in on their own but no way...so Dan caught them with his fish net and got them in there....

The end of the story is the person that they paid to catch them took them and they will be fine.  But Krista kept saying they are so cute!

What a busy week this has been, and it looks like next week will be pretty much the same like Bill says I should have on my car a plate that says "On The Road Still"

Hope all goes well for you and yours this week, please take good care of yourself and remember no one loves you like you do!  Just one more thing...don't forget to SPRING your clocks ahead tonight

Lots of Love
a (aa) ~g~
