Of course Todd is a senior and was one of them introduced. They called their parents name also and would you believe that the said he was the son of Dan and Diane Spell. I almost came out of my seat on that one but I did shout the correct name J it was so cute Todd hugged Diana and her head doesn’t reach his chin. One of those times I wished I had my camera with me. Nancy also came to the game with her Todd fan shirt on. The wind was quite brisk and she was cold (tell you the truth so was I).
On Saturday I went down to Dad’s and we had a nice visit. We went to Applebee’s for dinner. They have a new menu now and at last they have baked potatoes. Dad was quite pleased with that. I couldn’t believe it he ate that potato with out seasoning. No butter, no salt and pepper. I love baked potatoes but I have to have lots of butter on them!
Poor Dad he has paid all that money to get rid of the ticks but Cisco continues to have them. He puts the tick stuff on him from the vet also. None of his neighbors seem to have the problem just him. He certainly doing all the right stuff to get rid of them it is a mystery why they still remain.
Do you have problems with vines where you live; I think the whole country has those darn vines? The tree’s are loaded with them here I use to get in the thick of it and pull them out but I am just not able to do it now. I do try to keep them off the fence because they will weigh down the fence and ruin it. Dad also has that problem with his back yard. Each week I go down I pull more of them; they are killing the shrubs that line the fence. It is a never ending battle!
How did you do on the time change, it always messes me up. I know that you gain an hour but it doesn’t seem like it to me. Every time we change I have jet lag J But I still was up at 5 and on my way to the church at 5:45 to make the drinks and all the time trying to convince myself I have had an hour more sleep than I usually do!
I met my son Pat and his friend Dave for lunch on Sunday. I always enjoy spending time with them. They had brought my GPS back to me and while we were talking decided if we could find the update they could take it back home with them and do the update. I was very pleased that we found it at Circuit City. But the bad news is he tried to download it but it did not recognize my GPS. I know that things get old but it is only two years old. Oh well he will bring it back to me on Thanksgiving.
I think this Computer is on its way down hill fast It keeps freezing on me and that requires patience on my part which I have very little.
Shari has done a great job of keeping it going but don’t know how long that will work.Lana continues to do well and we are very thankful for that. She went to the Doctor on Monday and he said she can return to work yesterday. Dad has had all the paper work filled out for joining the Silver Slippers. It is exercise and mingling with people your own age. He says he needs the exercise since he has stopped riding his bike. Keep your fingers crossed that it will work out for him. He went yesterday and found out that they also have classes, and that they would like for him to come at least three times a week.
On Monday evening I attended my Planning & Zoning meeting in Viera. Because they (County) had a time line on the Comprehensive Plan we also met as the Local Planning agency afterwards. We had all the experts there from the County staff from Transportation to water and environmental concerns. It is scary how limited our water supply is and the county keeps growing. It is quite obvious that we will have to go to desalination sooner than later. Which will be a very expensive venture? Have you looked into the water supply where you live? The population keeps growing and we are running out of resources.
On Tuesday Bill went to the VA for some surgery on his face for the skin cancer. They called on Monday and said they would be delivering our new couch on Tuesday, so he had to go alone. Really haven’t made up my mind if I like the couch but one thing is for certain I like it better than the one we had.
On Wednesday, Bet and I (along with many others) worked the landing at the Shuttle Landing Facility. It was a beautiful landing and I swear I still get goose bumps each time it lands.
Keep Sister Joyce in your prayers, the knee thing is not over. She had some relief for a while but now it is back.
Also goofed on Helen’s arrival date, she will be here the 15th not the 14th.
Also found out for sure Todd’s graduation date, it is the 30th of May. As far as the shirts are concerned I think I am pretty much done with them except Todd may be chosen for the All-Star team then of course I will have to do one more.
Got some get replies on the Tattoo and the water thing. I will have to be more controversial in the future so I will hear from more of you.
Well today is our Church Fair. I have made a bunch of chili and have taken my plants over already. I hope it will be very successful; all the money we make from it goes to the Brevard Sharing Center.
This week doesn’t get too hectic until the middle of the week. Hope I can get a lot done in the yard. We hope that you all have a wonderful week and please make sure that you take good care of you! Let me hear from you!
Lots of Lov
