"Never limit your view of life by any past experience." Ernest Holmes (January 21, 1887 – April 7, 1960) was an American writer and spiritual teacher.
Good morning all, hope that you have had a great week! Reading some of Ann comments on Face book, looks like she has had a great week with some of her grandchildren.
Last weekend we got lots of rain, even Dad got a little bit. We had lots of wind from Isaac and of course the rain, but thankfully nothing LA, AL got!
Early Monday morning we were ready for a full day (although it was raining like mad) Bill was supposed to go for his first shot to help with his prostrate cancer. At 8 the VA called and said they had not got the med's and could we switch it to Thursday. Because of the rain I was happy about that! That afternoon we were supposed to have the new carpet put in Bill's room, shortly after the first call the carpet people called to switch that date also, So we just stayed home and watch the palm fronts fly across the yard.
Murphy is really enjoying his ice cream as you can see by this picture!
On Tuesday I took my car down for an oil change...as you know nothing is simple! I need at least two tires. She quoted me $1,020. for four! Now I know it has been a long time since I have gotten tires, but that flew me for a loop. The back two need to be replaced for sure. I started calling around and the best deal I could get was from BJ's the cost for the two is $480. WOW!
Miss Eloise was visiting her Grandmom last week and the one thing I missed when I saw her was to see what she looked like when she had spaghetti and here she is...not a bad job on her part

On Wednesday, we were off to Tampa. I was not looking forward to the trip, because I am not use to driving in the city. But, the traffic was light and the GPS took us right to the hospital, can't complain about the trip at all. You talk about a busy hospital, that one was, and not a lot of parking but again found a spot right away and all went well. Now the Dr. told him here if he did not want the pace maker all we had to do it call and cancel the appointment....but I guess that two hour trip gave him al lot of time to think about it and they left the decisions up to him and he said "no". So that was it another two hour trip home...
On Thursday I took him to Viera for his shot! The nurse asked him if he knew what he was there for and he said "No, not really!" He must have been told more times than I can remember...got to say this was and interesting week.
Lana took Dad to the Cardiologist on Tuesday to see if he would ok surgery on Dad's leg. If I have it right he said it was a moderate risk and left it up to Dad. Who said he is going for it, If he dies so what, he just wants that leg to heal!
Helen settlement on her house has been changed until mid-September. She doesn't mind just as long as it goes thru!
